whats the best way to do this, im not sure how to mask it correctly because of all the detail, how would you guys do this?
Would a curves or level adjustment layer masked (or clipped) to the darker area work?
You can do this visually, or use colour samples in dark and lights areas of the stone texture to match exactly. It can be fiddly, but won't take too much tiime.
