Not really in Adobe Express... But my first idea would try to do it in Illustrator 9with blending shapes) although this also could be done in a 3D software.

Not sure I would do it in PS because the threads are very fine and it's best suited for vector work which PS is admitedly a bit limited at

Particularly there is no blending shapes in Photoshop

I have similar tutorials in Illustrator, but not Photoshop
For example see that project I made, based on someone elses tutorial (in Illustrator)

(it's a bit different but uses the same techniques I would use for your example)

I don't doubt you could do that in Photoshop, but it would have to be drawn manually.

Actually a 3D software would make sense as the lines are projected onto a sphere

Mm. The 3d node was definitely 3d. wasn't sure about this one
