My son and I are attempting to play multiplayer HFF1 via Steam from the same household. The experience is very laggy. In some cases, the players freeze and are uncontrollable. In our most recent attempt, the physics was glitching severely:

Our Internet connection is very stable and has sufficient bandwidth. We aren't experiencing this in any other online game.

Check if following setting helps.
Open up the Steam Settings > Click on In Game > Scroll down until you see under the category MORE - Steam Networking > Set it to Friends Only
Do this for both accounts and then restart the game to check if the issue still occurs.

There is like delay for actions in multiplayer so it's very hard to time things like rope swings and stuff is there any way to fix that?
