Nani A "Pod" is up to 8 adults/sub-adults and up to 6 hatchlings/juveniles/adolescents.
Nani Pods are led by the oldest female, however if a disagreement happens they often simply break into smaller groups with those who agreed with them. That being said, these groups often rejoin one another shortly after.
Nani A "Alliance" is up to 6 adult/sub-adult males.
Nani Alliances are just as playful as Pods, though there is no distinct leader among them.

Early Life
β•šβ•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•β•

Hatchlings

Hatchlings are dependent on their parents for protection and food. They rarely leave their mother's side.

Juveniles

While still mostly dependent on their parents, they do start to leave their mother's side, opting to play with others in the pod either by breaching the water or chasing each other around the pod.

Adolescents

They are now learning to hunt with the pod and find food. They remain very playful throughout their lives. The males will start to distance themselves more and may form a small pod that follows the larger pod, still learning all they need to survive from the rest of the pod.
