I just used this and, while it did work, it immediately made my framerate for the entire software drop down to ~10. My framerate returned to normal when I removed the leading Zeroes.

Did you change a text panel blueprint? Maybe what you did experience is all your items re-rendering the changes made in the blueprint after returning to the components screen.
