Report after 50 hours of play on Steam.
These are just my first impressions of the game. If any of this inspires someone or gives the team ideas, I’ll be happy.
I really like Ethyrial 🙂
It has been a long time since a game pulled me in this much. I hope the game keeps developing, and one day I would love to buy it in a physical box like I once did with EverQuest.
I hope my words are not taken as criticism — that is not my intention. It is very possible that I have only seen 1% of the game so far.
I appreciate the class-change system. I have not used it yet, but it looks interesting. However, the current class system feels quite restrictive for character development. One idea could be to let players choose a class at the start, keep the class-change system, and also allow unlocking one additional class through a special questline. For example, a “Savagery” questline that lets the player choose between Barbarian or Brawler. This could add more freedom and meaningful decisions for character builds.
I also don’t really feel the impact of different physical damage types in combat. Slashing, blunt, and piercing weapons often feel too similar. Perhaps weapons could be differentiated more clearly — for example: swords balanced, axes stronger but slower, maces slow with a small stun chance, daggers weaker but with higher critical damage.
Thank you. I’ll return after 100 hours of play.
