It would be nice for classes to have a weapon or weapons they are specialized to use and that grant them bonuses for doing so, like a Berzerker should be better at using a 2 handed Axe than a paladin.

Isn't a Paladin's entire shtick. Their entire get up, the fact that they are a righteous and holy warrior that smites undead using a hammer?
