Homebrewed setting that kind of feels like Faerun with a Dark Souls edge. I've got writer's block trying to think of how to reveal some valuable info to my player characters. They know the apocalypse is coming, and know they cant prevent it, but they do have options for what come next.

This takes some context though

The nine archdevils we know: Asmodeus, Tiamat, etc. are not the original rulers of their respective levels of Hell. The original nine were banished by the Sun god to the furthest reaches of space, long before recorded history.

~1500 years before the campaign start, Emperor Althazar Ekhel made, in secret, seperate warlock pacts with each of these original banished devils in order to gain power and usher the world into a golden age of 'peace'

The people loved him, and he was meant to be coronated as a living god, so upon his death, he would be added to the pantheon (it is known that especially legendary mortals can do this in this setting). His wife, the empress, discovered his dark secrets and during the coronation, when he was vulnerable, murdered him.

Upon his death, his soul was fought over by the nine, and in the void of the far realm, the ten of them became one, with Ekhel as the main controlling force.

1500 years later, the Tenfold King has found his way back to the prime material and plans to turn it into the tenth layer of Hell, with him ruling over all of them.

About halfway through the campaign, they figured out that the only way to truly defeat the Tenfold King is by killing him in Hell. Otherwise, he'll just regenerate somewhere in Hell and come back. So, they have decided to let his cultists go through with their plan to make the prime material the newest level of Hell, so they can kill him for real when he shows up.

They learned of the inevitability of the Tenfold King by a mysterious benefactor they lovingly named Cosmo (he is a time traveler and couldnt reveal his own identity) and that he cannot be lured to any of the other levels of Hell (he's tried)

My players have a couple options for after:

One is the ranger/druid who has accepted the spririt of the last living god of the pantheon into his own body so the Tenfold King couldnt get to him. This god is a nature god and is slowly turning the PC into an archfey/demigod. If he accepts losing his humanity further, he could turn the post-apocalyptic world into a green one

The second lies with the other druid who has discovered a secret form of pyromancy: star magic, and is on her way to becoming the fabled Final Flame. If all else fails, she could have the power to pull the sun into the planet, incinerating the world (and starting the process of the heat death of the universe)

What im struggling with is how Cosmo can show the PCs that these are options they have.

For the Final Flame I'm thinking having Cosmo take her to an ancient stargazing dragon who will share his secrets of star magic to her, but for the demigod im not sure. The god residing inside him is kind of modeled after the Faun from Pan's Labyrinth, if that helps with the vibe, and im also inspired by Anders/Justice from Dragon Age 2.

Should i describe a vision the PC has? Maybe at a particular location? Should Cosmo show him the future? Should the god inside him speak to him about it?
