My party began this whole adventure 7 months ago. They're almost 30 sessions in, and they're going up against this leg of the journey's BBEG, and if all goes according to plan, they're going to defeat him, putting a stop to his machinations, and just be "Heroes" for a while. During this time, I want to do a 1-year time skip where the party has been mostly together, but they get to choose 4/5 "Dungeons and Dragons" quests, where they sort of get to jump to the conclusion. What are four or five MUST-HAVE experiences in DnD? The ones that every player wants to encounter at some point in their journey?

time travel
cool kaiju fight
hell
dragons
other planes
(these aren't ones I chose because players want them but because I want to run them so badly
)
ooo space is also a good one
but before we pick and choose what's your campaign's setting?
DnD, High Fantasy, High Magic.
- Dragons
- Beholder
- lich
- polymorph mishap
- mimic chest
- fucking doors
- an Inn keeper that's a secret badass
- endless stairs
- seduction attempt gone wrong
- rolling sphere ala Indiana Jones
- ordinary job that goes terribly sideways and becomes incredibly complex
- shopping montage
- getting covered in gross stuff
- sticking your hand in questionable places, such as the mouth of a wall relief
- Dragons, obviously
- Feywild shenanigans
- Vampires
- The Underdark!
- The Mimic You Didn't See Coming
- Liches
- Dracoliches
- Surprise ooze attack is also a classic
oh yeah, Feywild shit is fun
Mindflayers are classics too
