Im planning a new scenario featuring the bad guy of the previous scenario disguised as someone else. The disguise is foolproof and wont be revealed until near the end of the scenario. His name is Arvine Chilton and i want this new guys name to be Calvin Thorine or Veronica Linth. Both of those names are anagrams of his real name.

Do you think this is a little too on the nose or do you think it'll work as a good hook to reveal at the end of the story?

Were playing delta green and the players know this guy can transform in to anyone and they will be on high alert. However there is one character thats a huge red herring that will hopefully draw the suspicion away

While I don’t think it’d be obvious, why would the villain go through so much effort to choose a name that’s an anagram?

#

Why wouldn’t they just choose a random name?

So in “episode 1” they escaped and taunted them in to coming to a new location, to which they’ve chased him. And he’s going to be toying with them and teasing them throughout “episode 2” and I think he, as a character, would get off to the fact that it was in front of them the whole time

Think, the riddler, he loves thinking he’s smarter than the Batman and will go to great lengths to tease him in to doing what he wants

My concern is that it might be too obvious, I don’t want them figuring it out too soon
