The main setting for my 5e Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Contains minimal amounts of homebrew and maximum amounts of whimsy.

So in this setting, it is the remnant of an old universe- one that shattered and was "reflected" into this new one, Magna Prisma.
First came the gods of time, impermanence, and pain. They were the first concepts to exist in this universe. From their thoughts came the rest of the gods- conceptual, astral, elemental, and emotional.
The gods all argued about what species best represented their core values and ended up just making a lot of different things. They crafted the six lesser planes (Material, Feywild, Shadowfell, Infernal, Celestial, and Ethereal) and went to watch over them all in the five greater planes (Lawful, Neutral, Chaotic, Astral, and Elemental).
A mental limiter was put on all the mortal beings to prevent any new ideas from being born. Thing is, the mortal people thought so hard about certain things that they created gods anyway, representing their own concepts like money, or justice.
Anyway, tensions rise and eventually spill over when the dragonkin decide they're the perfect species and try to enslave everyone else. A huge war breaks out.
It's only stopped by a truce made during the Coporeal Merge, an event where the dark lord Darkness tried to return to the Material Plane and merged the it, the Shadowfell, and the Feywild together for two hours.
It was stopped by the gods directly intervening, and the Material Plane- called Uphoria -now experiences a great time of peace.

And it's up to the players to keep it that way.
