What are your opinions on class capstones and why?

I had an idea for the Warlock and I was curious if other people had some feelings for the other classes? Keep in mind my goal is to offer alternative capstones and not rewrite them altogether.

shrug -- Once you get there you start over anyway. I mean they are kind of all over the place and assume you won't multiclass.

My feelings are that they're almost never used, and high level play is basically a pile of problems unrelated to capstones. So power level and how they feel in real play and such doesn't actually matter. Their purpose is basically just to give a fun vibe of what your character's end goals for power might be like and excite players reading them.

For the cleric, it sounds cool to get divine intervention automatically but then you see what all that can do ... once a week max, cast a cleric spell ... I would rather have more spell slots every day actually.
