Can you explain why did your Realm is called “Rats voraces”?
We had 3-4 ideas. We took a vote and this name won. It's the name of a gaming team used by 2 of our members a few years ago.
About your team, how much of it was formed before the game world started?
Originally, 5 of us wanted to create a team with a large French-speaking majority.
We started recruiting 2 months before the server and the last players joined us around 10 days before the start.
How many players were Leaders in Rats Voraces?
There were 2 of us, I was the main leader. But I appointed Banner as co-leader. He was invaluable in always helping me make the right decisions.
I could also rely on a group of 7-8 very experienced players covering all the Time zones. This was decisive in managing the defenses during Banner's and my absences.
Were all players from Rats voraces experienced or you also had newbies playing with you?
We had a new player. Nik made a great server. Always attentive and responsive to every request.
We also had 5-6 accounts of high-potential players spotted on previous servers and for whom this was the first competitive server with the goal of victory.
How do you organize communication and coordination within the Realm?
Only discord.
A War order channel where only Banner and I could write. We'd post our plans, our news... Whenever a message was out of date, we removed it so as not to mislead. In 30 seconds, everyone knew what to do.
In the game, we also used "mark everyone" pins when we launched offensive operations.
Is there anything you’d change from this round?
The positioning of Russia I3. A realm made up of 7-8 very good players that appeared behind us.
This positioning forced us to play more cautiously and do more diplo than expected.
How does it feel winning Carby?
I'm very happy for the team, who have been really extraordinary over these 10 weeks. Despite some very quiet moments when it was hard to keep everyone involved.
Personally, it's my first victory as leader, so I'm very happy.
Did you notice any special tactics or moves your competitors used against you?
We discovered during this carby that cutting the link for a few seconds between the ark and the portal during an ark transfer instantly cancelled the movement.
When did you know you were going to win this round?
2-3 days after entering the endgame. We had 2 secure anvils and were already 500-600k orbs ahead.
Despite a very strong and valiant opponent, once in position all we had to do was defend in the event of an attack. The advantage of defense is so high in this game that we risked nothing.
Will there be Rat voraces next round?
No, I'm going to take a break over the summer. Then 5-6 players including banner have decided to stop.
But some of them are continuing, and if you'd like to set up a team for the next server, don't hesitate to contact me, I can put you in touch.
Anything we forgot to ask, and you can’t wait to tell?
Yes 2 things :),
1- we tried to set up a little FS contest... If the last few days on the next server are a bit boring for you too, try to beat us. We'll be delighted to have launched this contest...
2-It's never easy to be the leader of a kingdom with good players because some don't always follow the rules. As a result, i have set up a ❌ system for the bad students!
Here are the final ranking:
Thank you very much to @kind pagoda Emhuax for the interview and congratulations for the victory of Carby, s30 to all Rats Voraces! 🎉
