i was playing as Host, my buddy died in the forrest now he has no map talblet. wie tried relogging, kikcing him an re adding him to the game. we cant get it back it doesnt even render on his body.
we both are returning the game, game breaking bug!

maybe respawn/re-add the map everytime you change map? so even if you loose it, not the whole save is fucked...

I actually had this happen too, but not when I died. HOWEVER, the solution was bizarre. we just straight up walked out to the location I thought I lost it, and BAM, there it was, laying on the ground. Not defending this, mind you, it was just even as bugs go a WEIRD one
Was your friend, perchance, holding the tablet at the time of death?

I once lost my tablet after we reloaded the game. I had it at base when we left. The next day after loading it was gone. We went to the church to complete an artifact recovery after having done the top priorty mission the previous day, and my tablet was laying at the front door. Picking it up returned it to it's lanyard.
So you can retrieve it, you just have to be incredibly lucky and find it.

We returned the game, its a shame i really liked it, bit with such gamebreaking/ potentially softlocking bugs its really Frustrating to hope your save doesnt get fucked..
