I'm a simple man. I see that I can put an Izh handguard on a saiga, and I immediately want to put a wooden finish on it. But also, I want recoil control.
The thing is though that AK parts seem to be very fickle with what can attach where. A PP-19 handguard can connect to a Saiga, an AK74 handguard can be put on a PP-19, so logically an AK74 handguard should be compatible with a Saiga. Even a Benelli handguard is compatible with a Saiga, so I don't see the discrepancy. Hell, even 74U handguards look really compatible.
