It feels weird to see just a white silhouette guy waving you over to the points that lead between areas. I'm still new so maybe this is a tutorial thing or only present at the first area, but i don't like it. Before it all felt very cool and isolated going out into the radius on your own; having some guy that waves at me and i'm sure doesn't react to anything else in its surroundings just kind of breaks the immersion for me. Same with the map that appears, you used to just walk into the fog where you knew the entry/exit between areas was, now it's a floating menu? I do think these traversal points needed to be shown a bit better in ITR1, but i would've thought something like a parting in the fog, or fog that changes to a different colour when you get close, would be better.

I hope the menu is just a placeholder too, it felt way more real to just be supposed to know which area lead to another, a floating menu would be a bit silly

But, I love the game so far, and am open to whatever vision the devs have

if there is ever an option between a diegetic solution to something (fog ropes) and a floating UI menu, I’m always going to pick the diegetic solution

I feel like the ghost man is going to have some interesting lore later on

but for now, yeah, feels weird

I know the devs have limitations, but I also agree with what some other people have said about hidden loading screens in the fog

That as you walk along fog ropes, the screen fades to a certain color to load, and then when the level loads in, it’s like fog clearing to reveal the map and you standing next to fog ropes leading into that map
