So me and my friend had a nice sesh today, but joining was a little issue, usually his game would crash 2-3 times and then he would be able to join, whenever we died and i tried to load the save the same thing would repeat again and again. Its still playable but the time sunk into joining really takes away from experience and mainly, my quest battery xd

All of it was on outskirts, yesterday during playing on the forest there werent as many issue so I suspect maybe the map has something to do with it

Played again and its really consistant, we cannot join/load without the client having to launch up the game 2-3 times depending on RNG

When the player loads (just his character, he will not get into the game it will crash) me as a host can see his model without items, but after it crashes and he manages to join his character is at the start of the map too, not in the place where it was saved

Then after joining, we normally load save trough the menu to recover the saved character positions, loading from death screen makes the issue reappear and crashes the client having to try joinig again for 2-3 times

How to reproduce:

Have a saved game somewhere in outskirts, host loads the game and waits for the client to join, client joins and his player model is visible from the hosts POV altough without any gear, so its not loaded properly yet, then the client crashes, after couple tries, for us it was 1-3 tries but Ive seen others say its 1-5 for them, the client succesfully joins but his player loaction doesnt load properly (probably due to the crash messing up his position in the game or the position doesnt persist after joining oustide loading when both people are in the game) so he is at the start of the map of Outskirts, after that we usually do another load, now with both in the game it loads properly with his location where he should be. If we die any time and use the "load" option the exact same issue repeats with all its features like spawning at the start of the map and having to try couple times.

I really think outskirts have something to do with it, seen other person say that it started happening in outskirts too

I have also had this issue.
Would randomly happen when loading into the game. Sometimes would be ok, other times they have to join and crash 2-3 times before they are ok. Even when in base, after a fresh launch of the game.
