We already have the mapping file and ITR2 doesn't use AES encryption. The issue is that ITR2 uses IOStore. IOStore is essentially the spawn of satin when It comes to unreal modding because it is super hard to work with and has some super complicated asset registry quirks.

ITR uses a weird level loading system where a level is a collection of assets that can be loaded in rather than being it's own scene. For example, the construction building in boloky is actually it's own level that gets loaded separately from the master level.

All the levels that y'all are seeing are just little fragments of the levels that are already in the game.
"zone buffer" is actually part of the master level as part of ITR's convoluted level loading system.

It's not that interesting but thought I would share here anyway.
no UV map was made for it, and the polycount was about what you would expect from an unoptimized cube of relatively medium poly balls.

I think "Eugene sniper rifle" was mentioned, but with the accent, I was having trouble understanding so it also might have been "Eugene Stoner rifle"
I feel like Sniper rifle narrows it down to too few rifles that it's probably unlikely that was the hint.

I remember the first vr game I played was that space pirate shooter game on the htc vive
They had one at my dad's office for some testing reason I dont remember but the room was like kitted out for vr
and along side their work testing they just had a bunch of different vr games
so when I visited I would just play on that the entire time
I really wonder what happened to this building. It seems to be completely gone from the game. All thats in the crater now is that portal island. There seems to be some evidence of being able to go there with the area by the apartment on the southern edge of the crater and the other area north east by the train tracks that both go down towards the bottom. I hope it comes back in a later update as the area for the final mission in the map.
I also do hope we get at least another mission in outskirts. The current final mission of the game feels really anticlimactic

3 is an early development variant of the sensor (I have no clue what it's about)

I have determined that lighting was definitely more varied before 2.0 beta 6 atleast
in this version 2.0, Almost every features are great and It's much improved. but the ' Bloom' level is too strong in this new version. I wish the game got an option for adjust the level or slightly reduce overall.
Just after finishing the game, the 2.0 Beta of Into the Radius was released. A lot of stuff is changed and the gameplay is quite promising. I do find myself missing the old map a bit and it is still very much a beta but fun none the less. Mimics are also much more of a threat.

tbh I don't like ITR2's lighting changes as well, like if you stand still and focus you can see the shadows of things like trees jump a couple of inches as time passes by, and you can see the tone of the lighting change very quickly too

They did a great job hiding the assets deep in the files to a point I didn't even realize it was in the game either until I saw it laying on the floor in the dev range after the unreal engine 5.5.3 update. In my dev range mod that unintentionally made it possible to obtain, I actually wrote some code that permanently hides the mosin and Benelli from visibility at all times so that nothing got leaked because of my mod.

Yeah the issue is that the game has too warm of a colour palette
It’s all orangey hue to everything
Needs more blue hue

The strength and colors of the modern lighting is a lot better but the quality is worse
Normal textures also look worse imo
Guessing so the amount of foliage and detail they have added is astonishing with higher fidelity it would look 10x better than early builds

the game (NOT THE BETA) is in a great state rn for a standalone version
currently imo the color palette on the quest version looks very weird compared to the pc version, idk if thats just me but also i will crash in the quest version (not the beta) very commonly from things like the ash statues

Outskirts runs fine but it's really hard to actually play on
They will finish it though and get it working
It's also cause for some reason they are loading the maps as you play and not before
Only gameplay issue I've had in outskirts is the cube can see you through buildings
I don't think this is the case in Beta 2
I got a crazy long loading time when opening the game for the first time after the beta dropped
Still renders during gameplay, it's just way better than before
and when I did load in, it was buttery smooth
Either my headset is messed TF up, or the beta is just a stuttering mess rn still
And my quest three is brand new lol
Played about an hour of outskirts on quest and there were frame drops a lot the closer I got to the middle, short freezing, etc
I play without anomalies, and those cause a pretty significat amount of lag, so this could be the disparity between our stories

I wonder how different this version of the map would have been
Because it looks like it wouldn't have been a global map like in todays version
it would have only been the map of the location you are currently in
And all the different buttons and such
Data base would have probably been the UNPSC database that was added in early
The My Location button seems interesting because we can't actually see the player location on this map
so I wonder if that would have worked as like a recenter button like we have oew
The legend button would probably show the names of icons like we had in ITR2, idk why they removed that it would be nice to have a legend in the new map to understand the different landmarks
And then briefing would have probably shown what missions were in progress
Whenever the next Dev QnA occurs, I'll probably ask about those details

only way id die by sliders is if i run out of ammo and dont have enough stamina to run
notice how 0 damage is taken during that fight
itr1 is just an incredibly easy game

i tried hardest possible. Sliders are one of the easiest enemies to fight once you know how they work
The only danger they pose is getting jumped by one
sliders literally cant hit you if you walk backwards lol they are easy on every difficulty
i play with the difficulty cranked
yeah, which happens 99% of the time on the HIGHEST possible difficulty lmao
they can sense you from god knows where and just creep up on you while your looting a house
