things just won't pick up mostly with right hand (on valve index controllers)

ive experienced this bug too and had the addition of it takes time for items to let go like ill have my fingers completely off the controller and it wont holster the gun

i think its just the sensors are dirty

since wiping my grip pads helpped a bit

i mean the game detects that i've squeezed my hand so why it would not detect that i'm trying to pick up an item

I know for sure the grip strength required earlier was insane. Haven't tried now. I know it can be manually adjusted in Steam Controller settings however

Try reequipping the rig. See if that works.
