#SP save deleted when trying to start co-op

It gave a generic warning before trying to fire up co-op, but I wasn't expecting to lose my entire single player save. Quest 3 if it matters

Any way to potentially recover it would be appreciated. I alt-f4'd when i saw the save was gone. Steam cloud still decided to sync after that so i doubt i can get it through steam cloud
