ye, it sucks
dudeeee
it kept happening to me,and i know i dont have stick drift and it was making me go insane
tbh this was something i hated very much in the first game
It was present in the old game but it’s more insidious and rampant in this one. Maybe because there are more curved or not flat surfaces around and your knees push on them?
It’s really annoying!
it was much less in the first game though, at least thats from what I remember
But still it was still a hated feature especially when i was sorting things at vanno and I hope to god it gets removed entirely in itr 2
Clipping in vr is complicated. Especially when you consider level design which intends to block some (many) paths.
I think itr1 was pretty tolerable. But better than the state we’re in now.
The other option is something more like what HL:A did, where your head can pass out of bounds but you lose sight and hearing.
The thing is, that really isn’t needed for 99% of what we are talking about out because mostly it’s stuff like the little curve on the floor in front of the market bins and mission turn in bins.
I think it's increased due to the player model. It seems more intrusive, and the model somehow seems a little clumsier.
I could be biased. I've always preferred to play with player body off because I just find oddly shaped and bent limbs or hips/legs facing the wrong direction more distracting than an invisible body.
It was clumsy in itr 1 but it's a bit worse in itr 2 when using and holding guns
Like wtf is with the weapon bobbing when holding a gun
While running
Or just walking
I'd trade for losing sight any second
My body is my body, I don't want it pushed, even a little
It's immersion breaking imo
not just this but the inverse kinematics I think is way too turned up too. I move physically in my playspace to like lean, look at stuff and have more precise movement and the body just kinda stays where it is
its so weird
I get that, too. I think in most games I don’t realize my small steps. This one I notice because the dumb body ends up 8 inches to my left or something
I've honestly never experienced this this far. Haven't had any issue with my body drifting in the described manner while grabbing stuff or stocking up shelves
