(Nearly) GAME BREAKING BUGS:

  • Climbing is broken, there's a chance as you climb you'll instantly slide back down at a rapid pace and die instantly. This has happened on many occasions. You can see this any time you want, try hopping over the bars in the base.
  • Left handed people cannot run. When choosing left hand as dominant hand the movement and turning change but not the run button, which is still left stick click, which is the same button as the pause button. So left handed people must flash the menu every time the want to run.
  • Height calibration is broken, you appear much higher than you should, causing some areas that require you to climb into inaccessible without literally jumping in real life.

Bugs:

  • When using healing syringe and trying to put another on your chest there's a chance the icon showing you can place it safely there won't appear and you'll just drop it on the floor.
  • Leaving or entering a new map with the bigger backpack with syringes on the straps of the backpack occasionally cause the syringes to be moved, although still attached.
  • Dripping ammo out of any container (mag or box) causes ammo to reappear as you reenter that map, basically making ammo infinite.
  • I lost count on places I got stuck, please make an unstuck button.
  • Objectives disappear at times, not showing the rewards or items needed.
  • Backpack reads incorrect weight, many times it was empty but showed it was completely maxed out on weight.
  • Items completely disappear at times, I went from the Forest to the base with my shotgun in my backpack and it disappeared completely.
  • It only happened once, but I saw this little shadow figure in the distance that followed where I looked. I was able to get it on stream, I can share the clip later.
  • Even with a beast PC, highest settings still laggy.
  • Many MANY things with collision cause some places to be inaccessible or get stuck.
  • Dropping guns or items on the floor have a good chance to make them impossible to get back. The magnetic grab doesn't appear for it and since height calibration is broken the only way to get it back is to load the game or use something to prod it till you can grab it.
  • Many unexplained crashes, a lot of the time is when entering a map.
  • Hitbox on holster for primary weapon vest in front is too small, I lost count how many times my weapon dropped.

Annoying things please change:

  • The Distortion Anomaly of this game has high pitched noises that hurt my ears and many of my viewers on my stream. Some even had to mute the stream because it became too much.
  • Virtual gun stocks, please have an option to turn them off.
  • Enemies can full-auto unload on you from miles away with 97% accuracy, please nerf.
  • Please allow longer times between tides as an option, I doubt it would break anything with the game as different days don't cause new things to happen.
  • Items are VERY bouncy, causing lots of items to get lost when dropping from even a medium distance. Please maybe make certain items heavier?
  • Ability to choose left or right handed vest at start rather than going through the shop.

Things I'd love to see added:

  • The carabiner under the backpack could be used for those tripods instead of consistently holding it and walking from one end of the map to another.
  • Actual armor.
  • Headlamp.
  • Paths that lead to other maps rather than going back to the same exit.
  • Having any long distance weapon available on Security Level 2, maybe a bolt action. It's a LONG time before you'd get anything with range at level 3.

Despite all these issues I still am having a ton of fun with this game! Can't wait to see more content and mods!

As for the accuracy of the enemy, it should be fine as it is, difficulty settings will be added in the future and those who find it difficult can lower the damage.This game is PvE, so I think NPCs should be too strong, I am playing up to security level 3 and I don't think it is that excessive about the accuracy of the enemies.

Those tripods can fit in a large weapon holster. Just wanted to point that out. But it does have a bug where the orientation it mounts to the holster is wrong.

adding to this

climbing ladders is EXTREMELY annoying, i cannot count how many times ive fallen back down because (playing seated) i didnt pull myself up enough, ITR1 was far better with this by snapping you up when you get to the top and slightly pull yourself forward

and also the fact that shotgun shells on the stock of any shotgun are VERY inconsistent
one minute you can easily grab each shell with no problem, the next minute you cant grab the shells AT ALL without finagling it for a solid 30 seconds
obviously this is really bad in a gunfight and makes for some VERY frustrating moments

It's probably because you're running, sometimes when running the game doesn't allow you to grab somethings, when I try to put my left hand on my handgun for support the grip disappears and it doesn't let me grab it so it might be the same problem

@analog barn Some of these things are feedback and would better go in a separate post in #1262860380536049664. Additionally, can you include steps to reproduce some of these bugs if you know how?

another addition to annoying things:
player model just feels like a giant oval, super difficult to climb certain parts because your character just slides right off or bounces off of it, super infuriating

I agree with all these notes, besides enemy accuracy. enemies miss me constantly, and I kill all my enemies within 1-3 shots. there is no challenge. I have TONS of money, can buy whatever I want after just a few missions and the only times I die is because of my own mistakes or bugs. I feel the enemy's accuracy is pretty well balanced when I consider my own hit/miss-ratio, and the addition of better ranged weapons in the future and how you just seem to be totally invisible at range if they havent seen you yet.

What I do want is a proper stealth system, especially during night. I love sneaking up to these enemies and bopping them from point blank in the head with a silenced pistol. it is SERIOUSLY satisfying.

Currently the game over-rewards me with ammunition and credits too. This might be fixed with the difficulty update, but it isn't "survival" for me as much as it is "walking through a resource-laden wasteland with everything I could've ever want provided to me." so I hope the future difficulty system will add option to heavily tone back things and make scavenging much more important.

I cannot demonstrate left handed being broken without a program that shows on-screen that I'm pressing it, so to try it yourself: Set dom hand to left, and try to run

The anomalies that make the ring. They have a core made up of fused bells. They are the new reflectors. Distortions aren't in the game as of yet.

  9. The backpack is not empty. The items are there, they're just somewhere far, far away from the backpack. We kind of did a “semi-fix” in the hotfix. We will continue to work on this issue after the hotfix to make it better

  12. "Highest settings still laggy". It is very depends on your SteamVR settings, PC and game settings. All I can recommend, set resolution scale to 100% in game and steamVR (SteamVR can be set to 90%)

on the "maintenance" top priority mission, after activating the third sensor, the sensors immediately disappeared and the mission vanished, unable to be turned in at all
a quick save reload fixed it immediately

as ive not had another issue like that occur to me

items are very floaty and seem to have less friction than they should
tossing a sensor on the ground can have it slide and bounce farther than it really would

im not sure how many items it applies to but most loose items like artifacts seem to have this off-feeling aswell

  1. On the forest map on the East side after the bridge there's a house you can climb up the side of using wooden boards on the wall. I had to jump in real life while calibrating height to successfully climb into the window at the top.

  5. The safe house that's upside down in the forest (can't find the thread on here to share screenshot) that has an entrance that is possible to enter but it takes more effort than just walking in. There are some planks that lead from the inside of the safe room and on top of the entrance, causing a "lip" that the player can't enter due to needing to crouch. Also in the forest (I can provide a video later) map at the North West section (town) in front of the house that spawns a sniper enemy on top there's a small boat in a bit of water, the bushes in front of it has a big hitbox for some reason. There are quite a few instances of this but I can't think of any on the top of my head, I'll add more info later.
  6. I didn't get far enough into my stream to record it, but that only happened a few times in private, normally they miss, I guess I got unlucky.
  7. As others have mentioned not only are items bouncy but also slide around and go through things making them impossible to get. I'm not sure if it's all items but they have a tendency to land on the ground and slide away, item lost.

I apologize that some of these were reported frash after nearly 20 hours of almost non-stop gameplay and my brain needed a break. So I'll do my best to refresh myself and get more info later!
