Found the problem for some odd reason i can only play it on low graphics and 100% res even though my computer is more than good enough for the game

@copper pike What are your PC, VR specs?

My 6950xt was absolutely blasting my power supply (which was 12 years old, corsair made good products back then) and it would shut off due to power consumption

#

It spikes really hard at times, I can still encounter a complete restart even after replacing my PSU but only while in VR at absolute maximum settings in like Assetto Corsa with realism mod, I'm still trying to figure out how to mitigate it.

#

But it could at least be something to look in to.

Any software on Unreal Engine shouldn't restart the PC

#

Especially if it is a game

#

So I am 95% sure it is local technical issue

#

Try to check SteamVR settings tho. It might set render resolution to 150% by default

You’re overloading your PSU you should replace it and the issue will go away

Had a similar issue about a year ago but with games in general. I ended up having to replace my PSU when it decided death was a better alternative. I also went up in wattage on it (from 750 to 1200 just to be safe) have not had a problem since

I'm having the same right now, but its because its summer and my pc needs work to improve ventilation. RoN and ITR2 just cause it to turn off. take the side off and problem solved

This sounds more like either a Power Supply issue or your PC is overheating, which your PC will restart if it reaches high temps. Be sure to check your temps while gaming. If your temps are fine, then use an online pc power draw calculator and enter the specs of all of your PC's hardware to see if your power supply is actually good enough to adequately run your PC. If you PSU has enough wattage already, find some tools to check to see how much wattage your PSU is using. If it still doesn't even reach its maximum you may be having a power supply failure and it would be time to replace it.
