this is a screenshot of my mods folder. i feel like ive tried everything, ive re-installed, ive downloaded mods both manually and with vortex, what else can i do?
the game isnt crashing or anything, it launches fine, just seems to launch without the mods.

Long shot, but rename the 1st mod so it doesn't have (2) on the end. maybe spaces and or brackets mess up mod.loading

also. .rar file are archives, you need to extract their content. Only .pak files are mod files

neither did i, ill redownload mods later and make sure i grab the right version
ok when i go to download the files from the nexus, it says the file is a .pak on preview, but then when i get to the download page its a .rar and downloads as such. dunno why.
ill try simply changing the extension to .pak but i doubt thatll work

how can i download the .pak files instead of the .rar ones
only now realizing you said i need to extract their contents. ill try that

you need to download a program to extract them, such as 7zip (or winrar, though that'll bug you about it not being free)

quick update, downloaded 7zip and got everything working just fine.
had no idea files were downloading as .rar, especially since they were displayed as .pak on preview. this was actually my first encounter with .rar archive files too, so that didnt help.
but now its all good, and im thinking of even making some modded gun skins now too
