It's a personal experience

They give AOE and elite zombies damage and the cannon turret have high fire rate so goodbye heavy gunners

Cannon > Heavy Sentry 2 > Double Grenade > Missile > Everything else

Don't be fooled by those purple mod turrets, they're not good, just have some special perks that doesn't matter much.

build with everything you have, but as much cannon turrets possible. uses spare material to build as much purple turrets as you can

also let the person with highest turret perks to build cannon (if you have a team at all)

I'm not kidding, cannon turrets are very strong that they are able to carry the most amount of damage 100% of the time
