Because devs have spagetthi code a gun cant transfer from one type of bsa(automatic bsa) to the other(shotgun bsa) via an attachment so they improvise

On shotguns when they want to make slugs accurate they just shoot the spread pattern trough the roof to make it sniper like

But since oden has duplex mag which adds a pellet....they had to make the whole gun have shotgun bsa making it a shotgun

Shotgun bsa has something called spread pattern which is basically that shotguns bsa isnt so random but rather has a sort of pattern it follows(like one area in middle and big circle outside-spread pattern of krm). The spread pattern of duplex is 1 pellet below crosshair other pellet above crosshair. This set up makes it easier to hit hitboxes required to 2 tap in first and second range
