#What does it mean when a PID step response graph drifts away from 1?

Hello. This is my first attempt at manual PID tuning. My step response showed one overshoot and one undershoot before the line steadied out. I decreased P several times to at least remove the undershoot. It didnt want to go until eventually I got the result shown here - no oscillation at all but now the plot is drifting away from 1.

It's a Flywoo LR4 that I converted to Ardupilot.

You should not be using a step response graph with iterm enabled
