Im trying to make a parts list for a tiny whoop
here is the spread sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12D9urAahbwY1wCOsS79FfKw-ZzIGRPoobGYejNU24Tc/edit?usp=sharing
analog and 75
are there any frames that are better than other or really the only difference is the weight
are there any that you think are better
cause I don't really know anything about any of the parts like which ones are better and stuff
well you're limited to tinywhoop.com right
probably just the air75 frame out of that selection
unless @fierce timber or @edgy summit know something
the meteor 75 air
yeah
ive only used air 75 or meteor 75 frames
are you in the usa ?
for 75mm rigs
analog ?
yes
then I would recommend you build a fractal75 with meteor75 air whoops, some topsin 0802 25kkv, some hq ul 40mmx2, a tinywhoop pinch and an air aio (either 4in1 + a happymodel ep2 or a 5in1 aio, 4in1 will be a tad better since betafpv's receiver isn't the best)

Yep they made a 75 version of the Meteor Air frame! Here's what BETAFPV has to say about it: To enhance the flying experience, DIY enthusiasts have diligently worked on reducing the weight of the 75mm whoop drones for an ultra-light structure. We upgraded the Meteor75 frame to the Meteor75 Air Brushless Whoop Frame, wh
The same Fractal75 that you know and love but without the included 75mm whoop frame to chop up. You can either provide your own, or run without the guards! Check out our selection of frames here and our Collection of Fractal Gear HERE. The Fractal 75 is another excelling innovation from a Tiny Whoop community member on
you get both
oh okayt
cut the whoops off the air frame
put on the fractal
voila
also get spare frames, no need to get spares of the fractal, but of the air frame you will need some
one of the great parts of the fractal frame is if you break something it's only one of the prop guards not the whole frame
so just use the whoop part of air
yeah
you can go here and help me
I already sent you everything tho
i was confused
well, except for the batteries, get some lava/tattu/tinywhoop 450mah 1s
ok
you will want a dozen or more
for the antenna, the air aio comes with a sleeved dipole
you could grab a truerc singularity lite if you want tho
I mean, it's all in the above list
for props 2 or 3 blade
some hq ul 40mmx2
yes
just like these
the 1mm shaft tho
these?
yes
Inspired by the smallest bird native to the US, the Calliope is the latest edition of the Tiny Whoop 802 25KKV motor, an insanely popular size and speed for freestylers. This motor has a balance between power and throttle resolution that favors the freestyler. This motor is a beautiful soft brushed silver color with a
Announcing BetaFPV's latest Flight Controller for Tiny Whoop, which launched late summer 2024! I'll give you BETAFPV's description below, but here's the highlights according to the team at TinyWhoop.com: BUT FIRST here's the video i made about this flight controller! The Singularity has become a standard RHCP antenna in the Tiny Whoop Community. Every major event I have visited for years I have seen at least one of these iconic antennas. They have a very small form-factor for RHCP, and are very durable. TinyWhoop.com is proud to offer lots of custom lengths to fit your custom build
For tons of camera mount options please see below! All wired pinch cams have plugs compatible with 2024/25 Betafpv 4in1 and 5in1 FCs 1.4g with wires. The international standard. wait for the board will it fit the plug in motors
https://www.tinywhoop.com/products/tiny-whoop-hv-450mah-1s-battery-bt2-0-connector-v2-0
tinywhoop's batteries are pretty overpriced tho, I would recommend you grab some tattu/lava 450mah 1s from another shop
These are the top-of-the-line 450mah HV 1S batteries for Tiny Whoop aircraft. They're the newest generation of folded-cell packs, delivering a higher discharge rate compared to previous Tiny Whoop packs, and they feature a BT2.0 connector. This version of the battery features an ultralight BT2.0 pigtail rather than a
no
I believe in you, you can learn to solder
not hard
grab a solder practice board
watch a bardwell video
the motors have plugs on them
okay
or teeths
you can just plug it in
okay
https://www.tinywhoop.com/products/tiny-whoop-pinch-premium-fpv-camera-copy
could also go with this variant, the wires should be better soldered on camera side and will require you to solder the camera
The international standard. The world-famous Tiny Whoop Pinch is the choice ultralight FPV camera for any style of flying. It's the result of a long line of custom cameras Tiny Whoop has developed, and each step along the way we have listened to our customers and fans to keep pushing the limits of micro fpv camera perf
the pads for the camera are nice and big tho
so which one should I get
(I mention it since those small flimsy teflon wires are often pretty poorly soldered camera side)
I would get the second
will be less hassle in the long run
and 4 in1 or 5 in1
ah ok
I would get the 4in1 and an ep2 (https://www.tinywhoop.com/products/happymodel-2-4ghz-ep2-rx-express-lrs-receiver), cause the betafpv receiver on the 5in1 isn't great and is prone to breaking or not great performance
okay
also if you don't have tweezers and a third hand (besides all the other soldering equipment) that's also something you will want
tweezeers?
These tweezers were highly recommended by Yves from Fractal Engineering. Yves builds lots of bind and fly whoops for his store and uses these tweezers all the time. They are made of high quality stainless steel and even after many hours of use the tips still close perfectly. These tweezers are great for working on all
erf,
grab a pinecil, some leaded 63/37 solder (from stannol, mg chemicals or tbs), some flux (from mg chemicals or tbs), a brass sponge (which has to be brass colored, not copper), and I assume you either already have an adequate psu, or PD3.x charger or a lipo charger that can be set to power supply, otherwise you will also need one
a third hand is also very handy, omnifixo is the best one around
and some solder practice board
from diatone/iflight/speedybee or whoever
and go watch bardwell's video on soldering
I did mention 3 brands right
if it's rosin core and 63/37 then yes
get the seringe
are the two on the left the same
Pen bassiscaly useless.
Don't get pen.
That's a no no.
wait so which do I get
and you want the no clean
sure
do i want .3 ounces or 50ml
ill just say the cheaper one
is there anything else I need
for any of it at all
Eye protection
i have those
@fierce timber are you talking about this one

I receive a commission (at no extra cost to you) if ...
oh I also need a brass sponge
yes
sure
what do you mean adepquate psu
can output the correct voltage and enough watts
do I need to buy something??
you tell me
do you have a 120w+ usb pd brick ?
or a variable psu that can output 2-6s voltage
and has enough watts
is that just like a normal wall brick for like your phone or somethign
i dunno
I can't know for you
and the whoopstor
you don't have to
will the whoop stor not come with anythign
you mean what plugs it uses ?
yes
it can be powered from an xt60 or usb pd
i can't find any of the cords for the whoopstor
I'm confused by what you think you are searching
the whoopstor doesn't plug into a wall
what does it plug into
for example
https://www.drone-fpv-racer.com/cable-xt60-pour-ts100ts101-2294.html
with things like this
wait so in the picture I just sent will that one work
it's the same psu I sent above, so yes
so then I get a cord that I plug the xt60 into to plug into the soldering iron
yes
should be about right
k thanks
wait one last thign
what goggles
cuase the tinywhoop store has
betafpv vr02
or should i get eachien
neither
if budget allows, grab some boxpros or some higher end second hand goggles like the o4x
I think that is too much
well
gear is half the experience
you want something good
also if you don't have one already you will need a radio
I already have a whole setup
3.5 inch
dji goggles 3
radiomaster boxer
what charger ?
hota d6
you will need an xt60 male to xt60 male cable
So I know you spent time helping me get that list but i dunno I feel like I would rather just buy one but still get the soldering stuff
you can also just get an air75 sure
but I strongly advise you just build one
it's not hard and you will learn how to work on your quad at the same time
but I know stuff like that normally makes me really pissed for some reason
i know
you will have to work on it
I want to learn to solder
Would I not work if I get the soldering stuff but also just get a prebuilt drone
also what about for goggles
It will work indeed
Didn't say the opposite
I dunno why but I feel like I would rather do that
Look for a second hand cobra x v4
I would encourage you not to, imo the fractal above will fly better than an air75
actually seeing that I am trying to save a bit more money and seeing that I already have dji goggles i might just get a dji whoop
what’s the xt60 psu in ur spreadsheet for
*if it’s still up to date
Uh I think that was before i realized that I can use the Hoya d6 as a psi
Psu
