Ive been out of the hobby for 5 years or so, starting to pick the hobby up again.
I have an old Tyro79 from like 2019 with a custom MatekF411 in it, it ran betaflight 4.0.x.
I read up on flashing to bluejay for heli_S wich i did by following bardwells guide, and flashed the firmware of the FC to 4.2.11
I picked that one because i have read somewhere that 4.3 had some issues with this boards gyro and had to be manually tweaked to get working so i just took that as advice.
The first time i armed nothing happend, on the second try it started uncontrollably and had to disarm, the third try i just put it in acro instead of angle mode, arming seemed normal untill i used the throttle slightly... and started violently twisting all over the floor once again.
I think i can rule out the ESC's because in betaflight configurator my esc's dont report any errors.
I have a feeling it has to do with maybe filters or perhaps even pids??
Quick sidenote, before i took it outside to test it, i did spin my motors in betaflight using the sliders and what ive noticed is that as soon as the motor sliders go near 100% they got stuck spinning...
i figured it had to do with it not having props on it or the filters going out of control.
Kind of clueless what to do next, aside from going back to esc and Fc firmwares... wich is the last resort, and even then im not sure that would fix anything.
Anyone has any idea what is going on? I can post the cli-dump if that helps, thanks in advance 🙂
