#Drone balloon build help needed!

Hey everyone, i am very new to drones (ok i dont know anything) but want to make a simple drone-balloon hybrid (for a school project). If anyone's willing to answer a few questions about drone hardware, please do.
So the idea very simpely is a drone with a balloon attached to it so it floats and the drone under it makes it go forward and up or down. Now my questions are:
What kind of parts do i need? because it is much more primitive then a drone it doesnt really need all those fancy components, would a motor + battery + things for control be enough?
Would this be possible without coding anything? thanks

So I like the idea but I actually don't think Ardupilot has something for Balloons so that would scream for programming... Also you'd need some good sensors so the thing can estimate Wind and Distance to ground for example. Battery, Motors, Flight Controller, those sensors that would need something that could lift it and I think at that point there is also nothing on the internet for this kind of project.

Are you sure you're able to do this? If you can't even code, I'm not confident that you have the necessary skills to build something like that...

Also, I don't think that a normal quad motor layout and a balloon would work well together...
