It wont. The systems work differently. DJI and WS have a transmitter on the goggles that can request lost packets from the vtx. This increases latency but also improves the video quality. Hdz does not have the transmitter, which also saves them power and heat on the goggles

"The Ascent System" is a new low end digital system that isn't as good as the Avatar system, but better than Analog. Designed to be marketed to people new to FPV.

ie. A newb trap, a dead end system that will have to be replaced as people progress in the hobby. Something that the community will hate on and throw shade at until the sun burns out. Something only DroneCamps and their ilk will shill for affiliate backhanders.

I just know the smearing on walksnail would mess me up. I already get tripped up by the small amount of distortion you get on analog breakup. with hdzero you get no distortion at all, what you can see is what's there. so long as it not all sparkles

They are pretty nice motors, not my top pick now that vci's pro line is here but definitely still nice, and you will get an efficiency boost by going with them
(Also keep in mind happymodel uses a somewhat silly measuring method that ends up ignoring the internal friction of the motor, so they effectively end up over rating their kv, so a betafpv 28kkv is gonna be a happymodel ~32kkv, and a betafpv 23kkv is gonna be a happymodel ~26kkv)

All m2 I’ve tried are apparently too short to hold in the windings

And m3 won’t fit through the holes in the frame

yeah

put the unlock file onto the sd card, use the goggles to flash that to the vtx

then plug in a batt

vtx blinks 3 times

then flash the normal firmware back to the vtx with the goggles

you dont need a battery plugged in to flash the vtx

you should also update the goggles if you haven't already
