Its pre built in so people put up with it.
It's mainly in LoS short range stuff so gets away with it.
Most horizon hobbies stuff comes with spectrum in it.

Also some of thoose crowds have misinformation about RC links so any time spectrum fails them.
They will find something else to blame every time.

I recently learned to fly fpv in 3D mode in a simulator and it's been a lot of fun. Sadly, there are barely any 3D props on the market, all I could find were a few 5" 3D props and one set of 3.5". 
I would love to see someone develop a 3D prop for whoops, for example a 31mm prop for 1mm shafts, similar to the HQProp UL (1.2x0.9x3).

Here are the reasons why I think that this idea worth to think about: 
I know a lot of people who are scared of trying 3D mode on 5" builds, since they're expensive and dangerous if you crash. Especially compared to 65mm whoops that won't hurt anyone, are almost indestructible and have gained a lot of popularity in the past few years (just look at how much more people are attending IGOW5 for example).

Therefore a lot of them would love to try it with a whoop, but as I already said, there are no props available for this at the moment (which also means, if you were to sell a 3D prop for whoops, people have to buy them from you as long as no alternatives exist)

There are a lot of new whoop AIOs which are strong enough to switch motor directions in flight without burning

I believe that 3D mode would get a lot more popular that way, which makes even more fpv pilots curious about it, who would likely also want to give it a shot on a 65mm whoop.

Would be really cool if you would do that some day or at least tell the team about that idea for now.

So in theory if you fly a pack super hard full throttle it still kinda accounts for the higher amp draw in terms of time to equate it to the regular timer.

HQ are a bit better at light props, which may help.
Less weight faster direction change response, on paper.
But any actually dedicated 3d whoop prop is better than none.

Hell I'd even take NBD Azi's/venoms from 2018 if they made a 3D version.

Plus I think Gemfan and zoe have a better relationship theese days so that seems an easier task.

I'd personally ignore majority of people talking about X motor efficiency.
There is just too much that goes into that to really have much fair assessment for everyone in the world.
Hence stand data being the true metric if you wanna look at numbers.

Some people make light builds, some don't bother.
Some fly at high throttle most the pack, some chill.
Some like high pitch props, others lower.
Even something as seemingly inconsequential as the altitude you live at will have a MUCH bigger impact than you might think.

So pretty much only people local to me that I know exactly how they fly in general.
Does anecdotal efficiency mean much to me.

Generally speaking the actual average isn't going to be the midway point between full and discharged, but that might be a close enough approximation depending on what you're trying to do

You can usually go off of capacity, if they're the same cell count

It'll obviously be less than the actual capacity, given that there are inefficiencies (mostly the charger heating up) but it'll be a rough estimate

As far as goggles go both are good, HDzero is more expensive and requires a lot more parts and assembly to setup. Hdzero gives you immersive sim which is awesome. At the end of the day the DJI goggles feed look infinitely better no questions. But if you are flying back yard or inside hdzero is the way to go cuz analog is fun. If you have both there is ZERO reason to use hdzero vtx after 2" and bigger.
I also like HDzero as a company more.
