you only get half the throttle resolution

I think the main challenge is the creativity aspect of it.
Like most 3d FPV pilots just alternate between normal or reverse flying and rarely if ever do tricks and maneuvers that fully integrate both.

Or tricks that fully depend on it such as a heli tic-tock.
But then we are getting into the motor/prop response time being the limiting factor so.

So people just see 3D as a novelty and it never caught on.
Like you said tho with higher popularity better stuff would be developed and it grow into a whole different animal.

MH wilds was fun, as are most MH games.
But the FOMO play when and where we say of it, nah I'm out.
Not trying to have to schedule game time lol

Open world is a no thanks genre for me these days.

If I can't put it down for a month then pick up easily where I left off.
I'll probably not pick it back up.

I'm growing to like more simple and short stuff.
Sonic mania, celeste, Undertale are the only recent games I can recall actually finishing.

When i camy back I could't recall where I needed to go.

Even then, I find it hard.
like I feel like I got, or can get all there is to get about some games by watching a dunkey or cobbler or other well thought out video and being done with it in 20-40 minutes.
Instead of buying the game itself for 80$ and having to sink 30-90 hours in the game.

Yes I do realize that sounds like a lazy argument but godamn thats a lot of time to put into something that only has a small section of memorable moments.

Fly as fast as you can while being a foot off the ground while going down a steep hill.
You tell me what tilt it's easier at.

Also idk how you can even possibly get props and motors in shot while having extreme uptilt, on a session's FoV.
So yeah perhaps the images I can provide context wise do look flat or perhaps 5ish degrees.

But I take the word of the actual pilot whom I spoke to in person.

It's a pretty short game, and the bosses are trivialised by movement abilities you unlock about a third of the way through, but there's an infinite runner mode

What games have the best moments of ludo-narrative harmony/synergy?
When the mechanics of the game force and make you be and play as the way the story and character is written.

I think peace walker nailed it on the head when they introduced fulton system early on.
You want to and need to save your enemies, you find yourself risking your own life.
To save soldiers that are under the enemy whom would gladly kill them just to use them as a breif stepping stone.
You actually want to play and are encouraged by the soldier system of the game to play the way the story is written.
You profit the more you play as the story is intending you to feel.

The opposite is dissonance where they game wants to paint you as a caring sensitive hero.
But then encourages you to slaughter small towns of children for a few extra XP.
