in your transmitter alone, the gimbals connect to the main board that runs edgetx, and edgetx tells the elrs module what to send out of its antenna

rid modules all are certified by the faa to complete the rid requirement, but they dont all work the same. Some of them require gps input from an outside source, some of them include a gps and allow betaflight to access it, and some of them are completely self contained units with a battery that do have gps but do not allow betaflight to access it. I prefer that last type, i got a real cheap ruko one that velcros on when i want to use it.
