What is the end goal?
To get it flying? If so, it'll depend on what receiver you got, the settings will be slightly different. But general thing is to
- In the Ports tab, set the "serial RX" option on the UART port that you connected your receiver to
- In the Configuration tab, set the receiver protocol
- In the Receiver tab, check that you're getting stick inputs from your controller
If you don't, check that your receiver is bound to your radio properly
My setup:
PNP Drone: https://www.getfpv.com/emax-cinehawk-o3-3-5-drone-no-fpv-system-dji-pnp.html
Main Board: Main Board: EMAX F41125A AIO
Receiver: BetaFPV ELRS Lite Receiver Flat Antenna V1.1
DJI FPV Air Unit (1st one)
DJI FPV Goggles 2
DJI FPV Remote 2
Yes the goal is to get it to fly, this is my first drone build. How do I even know if my receiver is connected or not? What should I set my receiver protocol to?
ok, here we get into the complications with dji 03
you can technically use the 03 as a receiver, but it isn't recommended, because then the control and video links are tied together, plus the DJI controllers kinda suck compared to edgetx ones
but if you've just got a dji controller, we're stuck setting that up and using that until the ELRS controller you're about to order arrives
have you soldered the elrs receiver in?
also the flat antenna receivers are quite short range, you probably want a better one
Yes everything is soldered up. I can power it up with a battery and the ELRS receiver blinks blue. The air unit I have is the first one by DJI.
Ok, do you have an ELRS transmitter?
Yes, its soldered up and lighting up blue blinking when powered up with a battery
That’s a receiver
Your DJI FPV Remote 2 is NOT ELRS
Did you just buy it or did you already have it
I had the entire dji fpv kit that had the remote goggles and drone.
I had a feeling the remote was not compatible with the ELRS. Is there a receiver that would be or should I just buy the black dji remote
