hota d6 pro
Budget??
about $120
its alot of charger
what drone is it?
or in other words, what batteries are you needing to charge?
mhm yea
You could get something like the isdt 608ac.. it's about half the price of the hota, but it's also a lot less than half the charger
But i think the batteries from Darwin fpv are pretty ass it has 380 or 500mah
Okay il take a look
@rocky cape stay the fuck away from Darwin unless u wanna replace everything in a month
Get a crux35 instead
Only a little more and way better
Dude lithium batteries and lipos especially are very dangerous and you should invest a lot into a safe charger so they don’t blow up or catch fire
I’m not joking
Oh plus the crux35 is 4s so it’s faster and just better
So @humble dawn wich charger do u recommend like is there a good one under 100
Bc the isdt 608ac is not bad right i saw the vid of some people and they had a really good review about it like Joshua bardwell
Wich batterys do i need to use on the crux35 bc some sites say 3s and some others 4s
I have the Hotrc A400 Battery Balance Charger
It's 3s and 4s you can find it for 12-30$
Isnt that really crappy
It work
I happy
But on the pictures there is not balance thingy input
4s
It is
Would not recommend
At least get something like the ToolkitRC M7 with one of their PSUs
I think in gonna go for the isdt 608ac
ISDT stuff tends to fail in a way that it detonates
Ohh that does not sound good
ToolkitRC at least fails safely
Don't get that, at least get the M7
Okay
Why 😢
Only charging through the balance port is a bad idea
Why?
Because it's not designed to be used for the full charge cycle
Can you even set the charge current on that thing?
Chatgpt respobse was : Yes, the Hotrc A400 Battery Balance Charger is designed to be used for the full charge cycle of 3S or 4S LiPo batteries. It has a maximum charge power of 40W and a charge stop voltage of 4.2V ±0.02V. Additionally, it is equipped with 11.4V/14.8V double charging mount and the charging current of 3S or 4S can reach 3000 milliampere.
It is important to note that the full charge cycle of a LiPo battery should be carefully monitored to prevent overcharging or overheating. It is recommended to refer to the product manual or documentation for precise information on using the Hotrc A400 Battery Balance Charger for the full charge cycle of your specific battery model.
ChatGPT will instruct you on how to build a bomb out of lollipops do you really want to trust whatever a language model outputs as actual advice?
Yes 💯
¯_(ツ)_/¯
The one vitroid said
The one that Brutus said is good but I think the toolkit rc ones are better
No storage charge as you need the xt discharge connector to discharge to storage mode
Or just fly them down to storage mode but that’s a pain
I really dont want to spend more then 300 or maybe 350
But rn what im looking at is 420 or something its 106 for the tx12 mrk2 elr 138 for ev800d
145 for the crux35 elrs
And then 47 for the toolkitrc m7 and 13 for the parallel charging board and that does not even include the price of the batteries
Don’t get a parallel charging board unless u know what ur doing
And also not unless u have a good charger like hota d6 pro
If you wanna stay cheap there’s another setup
I watched like a 30min explanation on how to use everything
Quadcopter:
Mobula6 (ELRS version, better for indoor flying)
Mobeetle6 (ELRS version, better for indoor flying)
Mobula7 1s (ELRS version, better for light outdoor and indoor flying)
Crux3 1s (ELRS version, only for outdoor flying)
Controller:
Radiomaster RC TX12 MkII (ELRS Mode 2 version, requires 18650 batteries)
Radiomaster RC Boxer (ELRS Mode 2 version, requires 18650 batteries)
Radiomaster RC Zorro (ELRS Mode 2 version, requires 18350 batteries)
Goggles:
Eachine EV800D
Battery Charger:
Vifly Whoopstor v2 or v3
Batteries (Choose based on quadcopter):
For Mobula6: Tattu/Dogcom 1S 300mAh batteries
For Mobula7 and Crux3: Tattu/Dogcom 1S 450mAh batteries
Estimated Total: $350 (before tax and shipping, if in the USA)
With charging
Also get the 3 speedy pizza 4s
What battery connector is on the cruxe
3
Is there no like good RTF kit for 340 or something which isnt trash wich has a good drone for outside flying a good radio and good goggles
But if i do get the crux35 what would be the best 4s batteries for it that are not 1000milion dollars
RC B3 LiPo 2S-3S Battery Balancer Charger 7.4-11.1V RC Pro Compact Charger B3AC https://amzn.asia/d/bHo5dUW
3s charger best cheap
Ez no fuss
@burnt willow for 350 you cannot get a 3.5" setup.
That's not a reasonable expectation, and anywhere you will cut price it will greatly affect the quality
Naa you all just coping that y'all spend too much money 🤣
Nah we just have expectations and don’t wanna reco ppl shitty things
Shits ass
If u want a cheap one that’s solid but can only do up to 4s so if u want to later down go more expensive you could go with the (can’t recall if it’s idst or Toolkitrc) pd60 as it’s from a good brand but prob can’t power a parallel board
And it’s over usb c so u don’t need a power supply
Speedypizza
Cnhl speedypizza
Cheap for lipos and good quality
Xt30
And get an xt60 to xt30 adapter but those are like $2 on rdq
Rdq?
The cheapest one I would run a parallel board on is the one that vitroid reco
Are u from the USA?
Is it racedaysqzads?
Yep
Racedayquads
Best US fpv site
Only 3 good ones imo
Rdq, pyro and getfpv
In that order from best to worst
I reco never ordering off Amazon bc most of the time it’s more expensive by a decent bit
So should i be looking at something more like this this is from the same store as the speedypizza batteries or should i get the speedypizza 4s 1200mah for the crux35 bc the other 4s 850 mag speedypizza is not in stock in eu
probably with xt60 connector
Ohh yeah shit i did not see the xt30u
But why in the specifications it says recommended abttery 3s lipo
idk where you're getting that from, but this is on the Happymodel site
and they recommend 4s
It says that on speedyfpv.com
But it also says wait let me get the picture
Its says here its supports 3-4s
just with 3s it will be slower
you can run either though it does say 1100 mah max
which might be because of weight
the crux35 should be XT30 tho
Get that but xt30 and ur good
Anything on that site that’s 4s and within 650-850 mah is good
Xt30
Okay
Like this
But the toolkitrc m7 is xt60 too
you can just get some xt60 to 30 adapter
Alr
ez fix
Wait is xt30u the same as xt30 or is that something different
The XT30-U is backwards compatible with XT30, it's just the newer lighter version of the connector.
So the ones in the middle should work
I had 1 of em die on me
Most chargers will be xt60 tbh but adapters work
Toolkitrc>idst
HTRC LiPo Battery Charger Duo Mini RC Balance Charger Dual Port 20Wx2 2Ax2 H4AC for 2-4s LiPo Charging. This charger is alot simpler than the more expensive chargers out there but personnally Ive used it a couple of times and its pretty good, a little loud but still a really good charger for $33.
Just don’t bother with the shitty ones tbh nacho
They aren’t safe
Plus iirc that one only uses balance cable and no discharge cable
So unsafe
Yeah i already made my decisions i think but how do i know if the goggles i wanna buy can connect to the dronr
And how does the toolkitrc m7 charge bc it said to use a external power supply between 7-28 volts but idk if that is a normal charger or not
What goggles and the crux35 right?
Yeah and the ev800d gogglesb
But i can't choose between the jumper t pro or tx12 mrk2
Elrs both
I think tx12 mrk2
But im not sure
@humble dawn
Toolkitrc fails more then isdt
I've seen considerably more ISDT incidents than TKRC
Welll my newest toolkitrc charger does not balance so it is my second the one before that had the same issue
So right now I am thinking about the hota d6 pro
Or the isdt 608ac because of the price
U guys have any tips on like finding good spots where no one is around bc i really wanna buy all the stuff and fly but in the neighbourhood i live there are no places to fly and i can't drive yet bc im 14 and in the Netherlands u have to be 18 to Drive
And i can't think of any good spots near me
bit late but I recommend the toolkit m7d
dual channel charging and pretty reliable
zorro vs tx12 is almost the same controller, it's just a matter of if you want a game controller style or a box radio
Idst has more fails but both are close in fail rate but Toolkitrc fail safe is shutdown and idst is kaboom
this is like the complete opposite of my view, the truth probably lies somewhere inbetween
either way, you can do a lot worse than both ISDT and toolkitrc
Lets go for hota then
Can the crux35 carry a gopro
What cam is it?
Not as much what cam but how much does it weigh
Where in the netherlands? I am also dutch btw
I’m visiting Amsterdam rn lmao
Ah second hand session 5/4 would work to
A runcam thumb pro wld prob be better quality
@steady citrus yeah im ducth too
So these would work to charge my xt30u batteries right?
No
You need the opposite adapter
The above is also an xt60 to xt30 adapter
You just need to get the one with opposite plug types
What about these

Just so you know there is a dutch thread in this discord server, #874248418170638356
Me?
lol
Yeye
@hollow solstice are these ones good
Yea those are good
What i got rn is
1x tx12 mk2 elrs 99usd with short switch covers blue and a battery for the tx12 mk2 total is 116usd
2x xt60 to xt30 connecter
1x ev800d 115 euro
1x ethix neck and 8 euro
1x crux35 elrs 145 euro
1x 2 pack 4s 850 mah batteries 21euro
1x toolkitrc m7 47 euro
Did i get everything for a fair price?
Total is around 423 euros i think
How do i like give power to the toolkitrc m7 do i plug in s usbc or something
I’m pretty sure you need a power supply
if you can't drive a car you can always use a big backpack and a bicycle
Or do what I’m doing is getting a cheap motor online and making my bike a jank ass e-bike
Yea you will need a power suply
Where do u live
Waar in nederland ergens?
What kind of do i need to buy a extra one or something @main musk or is it a normal laptop charger
Gelderland
Ayy ik ook
Dat is dichtbij van mij
Ik woon in het dorp zuilichem
Ohh
Blaricum
Wat voor input heeft de toolkitrc M7 ?
Als ge toch nederlands kunt
De server word even gekoloniseerd!
Tx60
Door mensen die nederlands praten ?
Robbe waar woon jij in Nederland dan
Xt60 bedoel je ?
Ja
Nie in Nederland
Ohh
In België
Oh
Ga werken ahha
K heb genoeg op me bank
Nee klopt alles is tt duur
Is outofstock
@burnt willow
Ja
Ohh
Bestelt
Welke had je
8 augustus
Nice
Babyape pro v2
Tx12 mkII
Cobra x v2
Nice
Was babyape goed
Ik hoorde dat die snel kapot gaat
Het was goed
Ja-
Haha
Het is met vuur gevongen
Maar ik ga ook tx12 mrk2 bestellen
Leuk
Welke goggles
Ev800d
@burnt willow
@silk hull wat is er
De message was niet geload
Waar ga je hun bestellen?
Ohh
Haha
Fijn dan
Bij mij was het echt de 3de lonk
Link
Hier
just FYI we have a channel for moonspeak https://discord.com/channels/536623076796923924/874248418170638356
Oh wait. Shit my bad
it's no bad dude just thought you might like to know
ok cool
So how do i power the hota d6 pro
it has built-in AC so you can power it from the wall
but if you wanna do more than 200W then you will need a DC power supply. 200W is a lot though
So i just plug in the cable that comes with it or does it not come with a cable
eerr mine came with a cable
Yeah i only need to charge 2 4s 850mah batteries so i think that will be enough
Okay
it's a standard C7 cable so you won't have a problem with it
yeah this is like 15W
I’ve got zero clue what y’all r saying bc I don’t speak Dutch but a normal laptop psu can work but you have to add xt60 or just get an xt60 power supply
I’m 99% sure y’all can talk in this thread in whatever language u want but there is also the #874248418170638356
also with 2S?
Wait thats a thing that u can do?
ikik
There is another Dutch tread
rly?
where

Tuw
?
Niets don't you dare to join teh Belgium tread
too late
Ow no
hmm 4s batteries how new are you btw?
since you're buying goggles too, I assume youre pretty new and in that case going down the route of flying 4s right off the bat is a way to spend a lot more on motors, props, and frames
lot of risk in it flying that way
^
mob7 is good imo
flyable outdoors when it's not windy, and indoors too without denting walls
mob6 indoor only
mob8 don't fly indoors unless u want dented walls and furniture
ive flown a mob7 in light-medium wind
I have too
and it wasn't very fun lmao
those rs0802 motors just don't handle it well combined with 1s input
but if you REALLY INSIST on a crux35 right now, buy 650mah batteries if you don't want your frame breaking all the time
850mah adds enough weight that it'll actually crack your arms in a crash
I already flew alot like ALOT in the sim and had a cetus kit i know its trash
And i just dont like tinywhoops bc they just get pulled to the ground when trying like a powerloop
alr it's an expensive route though
just don't get 850mahs
replacing Crux frame is tedious
I fly mine on GNB 720 HVs
Bit small
I'm not sure it's true that he 850s make an appreciable difference to how fragile it is? it is kinda a weak frame. and replacing it is annoying yes
Yeah those are 75grams these speedypizza batteries and the ministar batteries are 110grams
friend with 2 cruxes said he's only really cracked a frame on 850s
My T8.. firstly fan stopped working so 2.5a max before it overheats. Then 6 months later it either turns off at 4.19 when set to 4.23..... or it just keeps going to 4.36!!!!
What mah 1s batteries does the mobula 7 even use?
450mah
good balance between flight time and weight
non HV though
Yh i saw the mob 7 and i can get like the drone and goggles and radio for 380 and batteries
But lihv dont work u say
it does
they just physically wear out faster
than regular ones
you're new too so no need for HV
for the goggles theres also the option of buying used locally if youre comfortable with it
it was the thing the hobby needed the most
a good radio from a good manufacturer filling the only budget gap left
and it's cheap. :D
Netherlands
I have ordered from a UK store to Austria once.
it took almost 5 weeks for the box to get here.
their mail service seems to be slow.
Well the uk isnt far from the Netherlands and it says 2-3 business days to ship
you decide.
HV is better
That’s 2-3 days till it leaves the warehouse
Then you got shipping time
it is but not for longevity remember that
dont give hv to a beginner, thats how you make em trash batteries fast
The crux3 is 1s
The Crux35 is 4S
But its 1 or 2s right
So i guess 2s is way more power
Or can u fly it in like a 1s 450-550
No it’s 1s
tbh just get a mob7
with a crux3 you're gonna be having more beginner problems than with a mob7
more breakable
They have a 1-2s version but when they made the ELRS version they made it 1S only
It performs better on 1S due to the weight
Can u do powerloops and split s on the mobula 7
Without getting pulled to the ground like on my cetus
yeah you can
What about these
Okay
