Hi need help binding my radiomaster boxer 4in1 to my Moblite 7 fr sky
and also need help on how to bind my goggles Eachine EV800D to my Moblite 7

stone flame
#

What do you not know how to do?

#

Is it one the drone side of things or the other gear?

steep kestrel
#

i know where the bind button is on my drone

#

but on the controller

#

i cant find in the settings where to bind it

#

also not sure how to bind the fpv goggles

stone flame
#

And as for the controller

#

Go to “SYS” on the controller, and find the correct protocol for your drone

#

Then, go into that protocol tab and there should be a “Bind” option there

steep kestrel
#

yeah thats the thing

#

i cant find it

#

ive searched online aswell

#

and nothing for the 4in1 vers

#

only elrs

stone flame
steep kestrel
#

This is all I have

#

And I bought the 4 in1 Version

stone flame
steep kestrel
#

not yet how do i do that?

stone flame
#

On your pc

steep kestrel
#

im doing it aTM

#

atm

#

ok i updated

#

it

#

but nothings changed in tools

stone flame
steep kestrel
#

i think i found how to bind

#

only issue is

#

there are 3 fr sky options

#

FrSkyRX
FrSky X
FrSkyX2

#

not sure which one to select

stone flame
#

Or make sure you know which frsky version you have on the moblite

steep kestrel
#

so on the manual it says

#

fr sky x

#

but once i click bind on the controller and the bind button down on the drone

#

its not connecting

#

not sure which of these i need to select

#

this is the manual im following

stone flame
steep kestrel
#

i tried both 1- 8 tele on and off

#

but it didnt work

glass arch
#

@steep kestrel Show how you have it configured in BF Receiver tab

stone flame
glass arch
stone flame
glass arch
#

SPI receivers ignore this value

#

Telem ON/OFF only matters for "real" receivers (those with telemetry, specifically)
1-8/9-16 only matters to PWM receivers

#

either way it should bind with any of these options

stone flame
#

Okay I remember now

glass arch
#

this setting exists to allow you to bind 2x 8ch PWM receivers

#

to run 16ch

#

the telemetry setting is there to let you pick which of the receivers will be sending telemetry

#

(because you can't have both sending it)

glass arch
steep kestrel
#

it also says in the manual to have it on d8

glass arch
#

just wanna check some other stuff

#

right now you have it set to D16

steep kestrel
glass arch
#

please send a picture of how you have internal RF set up on the radio now

steep kestrel
glass arch
#

what can you pick in the subtype?

steep kestrel
#

LBT(EU)
LBT 8ch
Cloned
Clo 8ch

glass arch
#

AH

#

I see the problem now

#

are you EU based?

steep kestrel
#

yep

#

uk

glass arch
#

yeah the radio is flashed with EU firmware

#

specifically, the multiprotocol module is

#

we could configure the receiver to run LBT

#

buuuut

#

it REALLY sucks

#

for SPI receivers

#

and FRSKY SPI is already garbage

#

soooo let's un-EU it

steep kestrel
#

ah ok

glass arch
#

put this onto the radio's SD card

#

into the FIRMWARE folder

#

do you know how to?

steep kestrel
#

no

#

is there a vid

#

?

glass arch
#

do you know which USB port on the radio is the data port?

steep kestrel
#

yep

#

top one

glass arch
#

connect the top port of the radio to your PC

steep kestrel
#

oh it connects as a usb drive

#

ok thats fine

glass arch
#

the radio should ask what to connect as

steep kestrel
#

didnt know

glass arch
#

select the SD option

steep kestrel
#

yep just did that

glass arch
#

it will appear as 2 drives

#

one is the radio's internal memory

#

one is the SD card

steep kestrel
glass arch
#

that's the internal memory

#

check This PC for the other drive

steep kestrel
glass arch
#

FIRMWARE folder

#

put the file I shared there

steep kestrel
#

done

glass arch
#

lol

#

what the heck

#

those files 😂

steep kestrel
#

lol what happen

glass arch
#

RadioMaster strikes again

#

well, technically speaking, the file you need is already there 😂

#

but whatever

#

disconnect the USB

#

on the radio, exit out to the main screen

#

press the SYS button

#

then, PAGE> until you get to the SD card

steep kestrel
#

ok

glass arch
#

when you're there, navigate into the FIRMWARE folder

#

select the file you put in there

#

long-click it

#

and select and click Flash Internal Multi

steep kestrel
#

ok

#

its writing rn

#

flash successful

glass arch
#

okay

#

go back to Internal RF

#

check what options you get now

steep kestrel
#

yep d16 is here now

glass arch
#

noww

steep kestrel
#

and d16 8ch

#

plus all the others

glass arch
#

that's still D16

#

you should be able to find D8

#

maybe under FRSKY D

#

that was also hidden because of EU

steep kestrel
#

yep

glass arch
#

pick that

steep kestrel
#

thats there also

#

ok

glass arch
#

now, on your drone, in Receiver tab

#

change FRSKY_X to FRSKY_D

steep kestrel
#

done

glass arch
#

press Save

steep kestrel
#

shall i bind receiver from BF now?

glass arch
#

after saving, try to bind

#

if it didn't reboot, please reboot (repower) the drone

steep kestrel
#

and for binding shall i select bind in the receiver as well

glass arch
#

in Receiver tab, there is a bind button

#

click that first

#

then click Bind on the radio

steep kestrel
#

nice

#

ty so much

#

FINALLY

glass arch
#

glad I could help ^^

steep kestrel
#

quick question

#

how do i arm the drone

#

well how do i set that up in BF?

glass arch
#

In Receiver tab, see if you have switches assigned to channels

#

move switches and see if AUX1+ change

#

figure out which switch operates AUX1

#

if any

steep kestrel
#

aux 1 changes when i flip a switch

glass arch
#

Are you okay with that switch being the arming switch?

steep kestrel
#

yep its the perfect one

glass arch
#

Also, while we're at it, do the sticks operate the correct channels in Receiver tab?

#

as in, throttle on the radio moves throttle in BF, etc

steep kestrel
#

yep

glass arch
#

okay

#

go to Modes tab

#

tick "Hide unused modes"

#

and send a screenshot

steep kestrel
#

i think this is from when i set it up on my old controller

#

the tx16s

glass arch
#

Okay, seems like you only have ARM set up

#

it's set to listen to AUX1

#

and it's set to ARM when AUX1 is between 1700 and 2100

#

move the ARM switch

steep kestrel
#

yep its between the range

glass arch
#

just make sure it's saved

#

beyond that, you should be ready to arm it and fly

#

after disconnecting USB and power cycling it

steep kestrel
#

yeah its working

#

not sure why the arming doesnt work sometimes

glass arch
#

throttle all the way down?

steep kestrel
#

yeah

glass arch
#

check osd warning

steep kestrel
#

ok nvm its working now

#

last thing i need to bind is my goggles

glass arch
#

go to Video Transmitter tab in BF

#

and send a screenshot

#

I gtg to bed so please be quick xD

#

welp
Well, if your Video Transmitter tab works, then you should see the Band, Channel and Power configured right at the top of the page (don't touch the table!)
Power is how "loudly" the VTX transmits.
Band selects which set of channels - frequencies, is used.
Channel selects a channel from a band.

If you have the Band A (also sometimes called BOSCAM A) band selected, and the Channel 1 selected, then you have it set to "A1".
That's what you want to set on your goggles.

#

If your EV800D's are real Eachine EV800D's and not clones, then you should make sure that you see "Diversity" on the top of the screen and not "RF A" or "RF B" (you can switch that with modes)
You can switch the band/channel with the similarly named button. Real EV800D's have a single button which switches between band/channel adjustment by long-pressing it. Clones tend to have 2 buttons or a slightly different way of setting it.

steep kestrel
#

sorry

#

no worries im not in a rush

glass arch
#

dang

#

just to be sure
did you flash the drone's firmware?

steep kestrel
#

yep to update it

#

but i did save it

glass arch
#

did you restore the configuration backup?

#

assuming the original version was 4.3.*

steep kestrel
#

umm i have no idea

glass arch
#

send the backup here pls

steep kestrel
#

let me try and find it

#

here it is

#

i think

glass arch
#

make a new backup

#

and post that too

#

if you post it within 5 minutes imma send you back a new config

#

but then I'll be in bed xD

steep kestrel
#

how do i do that?

glass arch
#

do what?

steep kestrel
#

do i need to make a backup of the current firmware?

glass arch
#

go to CLI tab
there, send this command: diff all
it should print out a wall of text.
Then, press Save to file
And post that file here

steep kestrel
glass arch
#

in CLI tab

#

press Load From File

#

and load this file

#

then confirm

#

if it disconnects immediately, then that's fine

#

if it doesn't, and says something about errors, just type and send this command: save

#

ah

#

you will need to send the save command anyway

#

so you might need to send it twice if it says something about errors on the 1st try

#

I didn't notice that the save command was missing from the file lol

#

You'll have to check the binding, board alignment and motor order

steep kestrel
#

my drone disconnected while i was typing save

#

shall i load the file again?

glass arch
#

check Video Transmitter tab

#

if it's still empty

steep kestrel
#

nah theres stuff

glass arch
#

while you're here

#

set Band to BOSCAM_A

#

and Channel to 1

#

then press Save

#

then, check these things:

#

binding, board alignment and motor order

#

then, set your goggles the way I wrote earlier

steep kestrel
#

ok got it

#

thanks

#

for all your help
