What do you not know how to do?
Is it one the drone side of things or the other gear?
i know where the bind button is on my drone
but on the controller
i cant find in the settings where to bind it
also not sure how to bind the fpv goggles
You don’t have to bind analog goggles, set them on the same channel
And as for the controller
Go to “SYS” on the controller, and find the correct protocol for your drone
Then, go into that protocol tab and there should be a “Bind” option there
yeah thats the thing
i cant find it
ive searched online aswell
and nothing for the 4in1 vers
only elrs
You sure it’s not one of these?
Did you update the firmware on it?
not yet how do i do that?
Power cycle the controller
i think i found how to bind
only issue is
there are 3 fr sky options
FrSkyRX
FrSky X
FrSkyX2
not sure which one to select
Try them all, one is bound to work
Or make sure you know which frsky version you have on the moblite
so on the manual it says
fr sky x
but once i click bind on the controller and the bind button down on the drone
its not connecting
not sure which of these i need to select
this is the manual im following
Once again, I’d do 1-8 tele on, but it may not be that
@steep kestrel Show how you have it configured in BF Receiver tab
Try the other two then
this doesn't matter
Strange, I haven’t used frsky in a while so I don’t remember
SPI receivers ignore this value
Telem ON/OFF only matters for "real" receivers (those with telemetry, specifically)
1-8/9-16 only matters to PWM receivers
either way it should bind with any of these options
Ah, that’s what it was
Okay I remember now
this setting exists to allow you to bind 2x 8ch PWM receivers
to run 16ch
the telemetry setting is there to let you pick which of the receivers will be sending telemetry
(because you can't have both sending it)
can you send a screenshot of the whole BF window?
it also says in the manual to have it on d8
please send a picture of how you have internal RF set up on the radio now
what can you pick in the subtype?
LBT(EU)
LBT 8ch
Cloned
Clo 8ch
yeah the radio is flashed with EU firmware
specifically, the multiprotocol module is
we could configure the receiver to run LBT
buuuut
it REALLY sucks
for SPI receivers
and FRSKY SPI is already garbage
soooo let's un-EU it
ah ok
do you know which USB port on the radio is the data port?
do you actually need a video for putting a file into a folder on a USB drive
connect the top port of the radio to your PC
the radio should ask what to connect as
didnt know
select the SD option
yep just did that
lol what happen
RadioMaster strikes again
well, technically speaking, the file you need is already there 😂
but whatever
disconnect the USB
on the radio, exit out to the main screen
press the SYS button
then, PAGE> until you get to the SD card
ok
when you're there, navigate into the FIRMWARE folder
select the file you put in there
long-click it
and select and click Flash Internal Multi
yep d16 is here now
noww
that's still D16
you should be able to find D8
maybe under FRSKY D
that was also hidden because of EU
yep
pick that
done
press Save
shall i bind receiver from BF now?
and for binding shall i select bind in the receiver as well
in Receiver tab, there is a bind button
click that first
then click Bind on the radio
glad I could help ^^
In Receiver tab, see if you have switches assigned to channels
move switches and see if AUX1+ change
figure out which switch operates AUX1
if any
aux 1 changes when i flip a switch
Are you okay with that switch being the arming switch?
yep its the perfect one
Also, while we're at it, do the sticks operate the correct channels in Receiver tab?
as in, throttle on the radio moves throttle in BF, etc
yep
Okay, seems like you only have ARM set up
it's set to listen to AUX1
and it's set to ARM when AUX1 is between 1700 and 2100
move the ARM switch
just make sure it's saved
beyond that, you should be ready to arm it and fly
after disconnecting USB and power cycling it
throttle all the way down?
yeah
check osd warning
go to Video Transmitter tab in BF
and send a screenshot
I gtg to bed so please be quick xD
welp
Well, if your Video Transmitter tab works, then you should see the Band, Channel and Power configured right at the top of the page (don't touch the table!)
Power is how "loudly" the VTX transmits.
Band selects which set of channels - frequencies, is used.
Channel selects a channel from a band.
If you have the Band A (also sometimes called BOSCAM A) band selected, and the Channel 1 selected, then you have it set to "A1".
That's what you want to set on your goggles.
If your EV800D's are real Eachine EV800D's and not clones, then you should make sure that you see "Diversity" on the top of the screen and not "RF A" or "RF B" (you can switch that with modes)
You can switch the band/channel with the similarly named button. Real EV800D's have a single button which switches between band/channel adjustment by long-pressing it. Clones tend to have 2 buttons or a slightly different way of setting it.
umm i have no idea
send the backup here pls
make a new backup
and post that too
if you post it within 5 minutes imma send you back a new config
but then I'll be in bed xD
how do i do that?
do what?
do i need to make a backup of the current firmware?
go to CLI tab
there, send this command: diff all
it should print out a wall of text.
Then, press Save to file
And post that file here
in CLI tab
press Load From File
and load this file
then confirm
if it disconnects immediately, then that's fine
if it doesn't, and says something about errors, just type and send this command: save
ah
you will need to send the save command anyway
so you might need to send it twice if it says something about errors on the 1st try
I didn't notice that the save command was missing from the file lol
You'll have to check the binding, board alignment and motor order
