Hi guys, today i got my new antenna for my goggles ( i have the cheap ev800, i know they are cheap but i won't invest for new goggles for now), i just wanted to replace the stock one with a lumenier axii long range, but when i did the test it was so bad vs the stock one for some reason, i tested if the lumenier antenna work and it does but after going 10 meters away from it get way low signal....
it more long range the stock than the luminier...
did i do something bad or what?
btw i have a nazgul evoque f5d 6s (600mw vtw power)
#VTX range problem

this thing?
no the one with 2 heads
yes
and the SMA is in all the way?
i got an adaptor to get it in, cuz the antenna has a male SMA and same for the goggles
and yes they were all in
do you have 1 patch and 1 lolipop style?
the adapter is probably the problem here
but my EV800Ds have the female SMA
my ev800 has only one sma
yes
my first goggles btw and i regret that i didn't get the one with 2
They just have this thing
ye
yea the stock EV800s suck
can you send me a picture of the goggles without the antenna on
sure
ohhhh your antenna is RP-SMA
ye i really didn't get how the male and female works 😅
i always say male has the thing and female the hole
but sma works different for some reason
yea adapters sometimes dont work right
so the adapter is the problem?
probably
oh its just the D so it wouldnt have 2 spots for it
I think what you need is a RP-SMA male to SMA female
wait a minute
oh im the dumb one here that is SMA male and the goggles are RP-SMA female
interesting
i don't know why the antenna as the same SMA of the drone itself
Probably cuz modules have those sma connector?
Oh it fit on the D?
ye
well trying another adapter might fix your problem
looks like what you would want is a SMA Female to RP-SMA male
i went back on ebay where i bought the adapter
it say SMA female to RP:SMA male
idk, i might do some test
btw thanks for the help 😄
that should work…
ur goggles r rp-sma female
so that connects to the rpsma male
and then the sma female in the adapter should connect to the sma male of the antennas
well its the right adapter but I've had issues with adapters not working
