#restore settings after updating firmware on betaflight fc

That's a version mismatch-- they delete/rename values between builds.
I resolved similar issues by rolling back my firmware to what I made the backup on, loading the backup on that firmware, then going to the presets tab and using the save backup option instead of using CLI to dump it
updating firmware and then using load backup from presets seemed to throw less errors, and it let me apply it without issue even though some settings had changed.
Also it looks like it maybe didn't save all your config, cause that's a really short file.
And it throws an error about "no config found" at the beginning
thats what i did i used presets to save backup 😅
oh thats because i show the errors only i didnt screenshot whole backup file
I think that version only saves the differences between the board default and what you've changed
Whereas doing a dump all in CLI saves every single setting
So if the preset is the same as it shipped with, you should be good?
If it behaves weirdly though you may need to go to their website and download their defaults
so should i accept it with errors or roll back again?
I'm pretty new to this myself, but imo just accept it with errors. Those don't look like anything serious. Safest is to start from fresh, but I don't see a reason you'd need to in that log.
i found cli on site tho i dunno what gyro i have 😄 https://geprc.com/downloads/crocodile5-baby-lr/

Just make sure:
-Your barometer is detected
-Your magnometer is detected
(I think I'm reading correctly there that your board has both)
-You set a Blackbox logging rate in its tab
Gyro is usually stamped on the top with the model number. The FC manual should show which chip it is.
Here's an example from the manual for one of my FCs
