#Explorer O3 had dead USB

Are you sure that's not just a dead USB cable?
i tried it with a few cables
Hmm
also different computers
and a standard power brick
it does power on with battery tho
the same port also works with other drones
did you have any access to it before it died?
Can you enter DFU or bootloader mode with it?
If no, then contact Flywoo. if yes, then it might just be a corrupt file or setting, turning off the UART for USB, and you might be able to reflash it, or contact Flywoo and let it be there problem if it's brand new and bad out of the box
I can't enter any of those modes, and I never had access, I think I'll try to get the USB c port swapped by a phone repair place
Did you get the o3 one?
I'm really not sure, I ordered in December
Can you take a photo of the end of the cable?
The ones that transfer data have ridges in them
Sorry, I'm not at my desk rn, but I use it for SSD enclosures
Or have you tested the cable on something else to confirm that it transfers data?
Yes
I have 3 cables that I use for external drive enclosures, and none of them work ;-;
It also show no lights and doesn't connect to radio when powered over usb
Nah I got analog. Mine came in December too
It’s a fun and versatile quad. I hope you get yours working soon! Why not just rma, why do you want to bring it to a phone shop?
I need it for a shoot in a month, rma would cut it a bit close
Worst case I'll order a new fc
Ooh, are you using the o3 for the video or are you using a camera mounted on it?
I think I'll use the o3, but maybe a thumb pro if I really don't like the footage
It's mostly establishing/transition shots, so I don't need super high quality
It's going to fill in between in mavic and ground shots
Did you want the explorer for faster agile shots compared to your mavic?
Sort of, I needed something reliable to dive mountains and provide a speed warped transition from air to ground
Also for some 'proximity' flight
Nothing super close, but much closer than a mavic
My other fpv drone is analog, so I'm looking forward to digital!
That's an option, but doing so would void the warranty, and Flywoo wouldn't likely do an exchange on it.
What do you recommend with my timeframe?
Also, I live in Hawaii, so everything takes an extra long time to get here
Contact Flywoo, or whomever you bought it from, and see what they can do for you. there are a lot of reasons why a flight controller won't respond to the USB port, and the cost of getting just the port replaced is likely more than the cost of the flight controller, and has a very low probability of fixing the issue.
Ok
Do you think I can get this sorted in 3 weeks?
The drone does power on and is bound
I just can't map my switches
It has Bluetooth!
Download the speedy bee app, it’s like beta flight for your phone
I have yet to figure out how to connect my flywoo to my phone but if you figure that out you’re golden!
Yep!
I don't think the o3 has it ;-;
;-;
can I configure betaflight through dji goggles?
What?
I heard somewhere that you can configure bindings through a goggle menu or something
You can change some settings, but it's not like the goggles will magically stream the entire configurator UI
Oh
Will I be able to map arm and mode switches on a tango 2?
Sorry if these are stupid questions, when I google this I only get betaflight osd stuff
Ok
Do you know what things are available to change?
Sorry, I dont have goggles yet
I'm new to dji's digital system
PIDs, rates, if on analog you can also do vtx settings, erasing/starting/stopping blackbox recording
Oo ok
