Hello!
Anyone ever ran a 4-in-1 on an X-class? was thinking of using 4215 motors(680kv) in 6s with the foxeer reaper F4 128K 65a 4in1 ESC (8s max), 75a burst. the motors with the props im using maxes out at 78 amps at full throttle. Since I'm almost never at full throttle, could I get away with using it?

The constant draw is not the problem. The spike current is the problem. You might be able to build an x-class cruiser with a 4-in-1, but I would be hesitant to even try freestyle with it, much less race. X-class quads are plenty large enough to not have to worry about the additional weight of independent ESCs

Okay, thanks! I was looking for a cheeky way to avoid buying $60-per ESC. Are there any decent cheap ESCs that handle the required amps? My last build utilized APD's 80 amp escs with the same motors but one of them costs the same as a 4in1 :/
