No, we'd rather have people be able to come in, look around. maybe check out something they never thought they would be interested in, ask questions, leave comments that might not be channel related but might be topic related to the current conversation.
There's Zero point in locking down the channels like that without there being a problem we were trying to solve not otherwise covered by the Community Rules.
