RM Zorro EdgeTX 2.7.1 - flashing internal ELRS fails
ty
gimme a sec
no rush from me ill be here
imma try setting up the configurator
What version are you trying to flash?
and what do you expect to use with it?
trying to flash to the newest 3.0.0, and idk this is what i was told to do in the video
assumed it was best to just flash everything to the newest
That depends
SPI receivers (integrated inside of flight controllers) don't have 3.0.0 support yet
just got this controller today
at least not in a release version
what receiver/drone do you expect to be using with it?
99% sure that that one uses a SPI receiver
in which case you should flash 2.5.1 for the time being
3.0.0 support will be released in Betaflight 4.4
That's the unfortunate nature of SPI receivers
which never should've existed
when summer rolls around i plan on actually building something, but yeah just a mobula 7 for now
so ill just flash to 2.5.1 for now
so, for now, ELRS 2.5.1 for compatibility
later you might want to consider putting a full ELRS receiver on it
can you show me how you've got the ELRS configurator set up?
and when you connect the radio in the VCP mode?
I was asking you to disconnect the radio here but no matter
what options do you see in that device selection?
with it unplugged?
I wanted you to compare
okay let me unplug it and see
what shows up without the radio and with the radio (in VCP mode)
and when you plug in the radio in VCP, COM5 shows up?
connect it back and vcp mode and now it says com5 microsoft again
alr, select COM5 there
okay now try flash 2.5.1?
kk lmk
yup
okay vcp mode?
yup
how low? 😄
this battery is gonna die b4 i flash
gotta charge
should i let it fully die and then charge?
doesn't it have USB charging
why would you do that 😂
battery health maybe
23, im just retarded
I'm pretty sure your parents taught you that
but that applied to much older battery technology
NiMH and NiCD
not LiPO / Li-Ion
sec
@lucid whale it has two USB-C connectors
one under the top flap and one under the bottom flap
top = data
bottom = charging
I think
either way should work with any charger that is up to USB spec
so don't plug it into some weird-ass no-name charger
computer should be fine then. so after all this charge do i flash with com5?
at 2.5.1
yeah
If it doesn't work, we'll change gears and try to do WiFi flashing
good thinking to keep track of battery level btw
I've recently had to recover a guys ESCs because he flashed them with a dying battery 😂
yeah im just gonnab e asking a lot of basic dumb shit
im coming in from the ground up right now
completely new
try to look stuff up, but if you can't find a good answer or just aren't sure, asking will get you a much better response than guessing wrong and trying to get it fixed 😉
will this red light on the zorro turn green when its charged?
the manual it comes with atleast
its a shortened version of the actual manual on the website
which says fuck all about it as well
Red LED = charging
no LED = charging complete
blinking red LED = problem?

I remember something about this.. I think it's if the batteries are so low (or out of balance) that the internal charger won't accept it
you can try and check the batteries voltage with a multimeter
JJinx only mentioned red light, I responded with the whole array of possibilities @keen stone
so hopefully theirs is fine 😄
oh okay, i think red light is good yea
its just a solid red light, so i assume its charging
@tulip lily i just flashed 2.5.1 and it failed again
i got this
