First - yes I made a forum post when this should be in #1020410292070531093 . Fight me.

So I've got a few bits and bobs and I want to look at putting together a racer that is for really "sending it" on practice days. My design goals are:

  • Low cost - cheap arms, that sort of thing
  • Durability - not going to end my session after some bad impacts

I am not aiming for performance with this at all. I'll be using Eco II motors, a cheap 35A stack I have, and analogue.

I'm looking for any suggestions on cheap and durable frames for racing and also any building techniques for keeping them durable. Thanks!

Are you familiar with the OpenRacer frames? https://hypernovafpv.com/products/openracer-frame

I swear cncmadness just go out of their way to hide which country they are in

#

their phone number even looks like a UK mobile

#

so that is interesting but I would have to have some cut

Yea i guess so, not sure how cheap you can get it made if you order it cut?

if I am going to do that I thought I might as well just use my current frame design but increase the arms to 5mm and fatten them up a bit

maybe get some of the other club members in on it?

we actually already have a club frame

#

it doesn't have quite the same design goals, and I was looking for mass-market kinds of pricing

#

the source two is one of my frontrunners but idk how durable it is

that is cheap yeah, it needs to be a lot less durable to end up costing you more money lol
