or if nobody has written in it for 1 minute. Also if you are staying on one server, the chat history will remain, that's not an issue

I know, but that's not what I'm talking about. In both the lobby and in-game, when a team member chats a new chat, it doesn't appear in the chat window and only appears when I press the chat key. Normally, when a team member chats, the chat will appear in the chat window without any interaction. When I create a new lobby, it's the same symptom. I didn't have these symptoms a week or so ago, but it hasn't been resolved until now.

No the chat always used to open automatically if somebody chatted then would fade until someone else also chatted
