Get the new Extinction heavy weapon skin rewards with the fastest time for a chance to receive a special Discord role

Rules:

1. The activity will start on April 21, 2025, and is expected to last until May 11, 2025, when the third new heavy weapon skin reward availability ends. During this time period, submissions will be open!
2. The objective is to complete 1 Extinction episode and get 1 of the new heavy weapon skin rewards with the fastest time + no deaths.
3. You must complete these objectives with a team of 4 players (with 2 new players on the team). The total amount of team level should not be higher than 2500.
4. Title your participation post and the video of the episode’s run in our dedicated Discord thread for the activity. Your title must respect our server’s rules and not be deemed offensive (at our discretion). The run of the episode can be posted separately by missions.
5. You can retry your attempt at the Extinction Show activity, but you can only submit a video to us once. This means you can retry the episode's missions, but then you have to select the best runs to make the full episode video and send it to us once.
6. Mods, cheats, macros, or exploits are not allowed! Please make sure to provide a clear recording showing the objectives being completed and your actions. Preferably, having two recordings of the runs would be better.
7. We will share the activity winners on May 14, 2025. The 12 players who perform best in completing these objectives will receive the '💀 Rulers of Extinction 💥' Discord role!

How to participate:

2. In session mode, select online public or private.
3. This will lead you to “Challenges.” Start recording from here!
4. Here, select “Extinction” and the episode of your preference.
5. In the lobby, choose your character and class preferences.
6. Select “Ready” with a full lobby.
7. Make sure to add a TIMER for the mission playthroughs, starting after the initial cinematic ends and ending when the final cinematic triggers.
8. Show the full-end scoreboard for each of the completed chapters.
9. Before ending the recording, make sure to show that the Extinction heavy weapon skin reward appears unlocked.
10. When you think you gave your best shot, submit the full run of the video with your participation name in our dedicated Discord thread for the activity, and provide the overall time it took you to complete the episode.```

So you have to play through and record all 3 or 4 chapters (depending) completely and in one go, right? You're not allowed to replay each map multiple times until you get the perfect run and then edit the video? So basically, one attempt, and you have to complete it as well as possible in that run?

i would even extend that further... because it might just abuse the use of seasoned players to complete it instead of promoting the game.... i would say do that but the team must take on at least 2 new players too... there has to be more encouragement for new players to play and it could lead to some awesome videos ..... nobody wants to see an experienced team win

Hi, @graceful flare and @stoic goblet! I appreciate this early feedback. 🙏 The Community Activity has yet to start, and I can definitely take those suggestions into consideration.

Just to be clear, you want this activity to be for 4 players (with 2 new players on the team, so we would be looking to see if they have a low level compared to the others ~ probably that would be the best way to verify), and remove the 'no damage' element to it?

Regarding your initial question, Isabela, you can retry your attempts at the event, but you can only submit a video to us once per new rotation. So it's okay if you retry the missions of the episode, but you have to send the full thing with your best runs in here. I think that perhaps I didn't make that clear enough.

Having 2 new players is already present in the updated rules. The original requirement for no damage was removed. I proposed bringing a no deaths requirement back to ensure the 2 new players are actually getting to participate instead of spectating.

Hello, @graceful holly! I honestly don't think that would be fair for the people who put so much effort into winning past events for those roles. Each role is associated with a special event and fun memories. People are also free to be on the server whenever they like, and the role can be a reminder of the good times that they had in the Community Activity.

It can be around those numbers, yes! But I think it will also depend on the level of the other two players participating. For example, if they are 999-level players, I think it would make sense that the new players can also be at levels ~ 300.

@tulip sigil the 0 death is a good thing. so nobody will get the idea to kill the new players for example and run through. it forces them to help the new players. you can set a total level for the squad too? for example, that the total amount of level should not be higher than 2500 or so 🤷‍♀️

How do you think you will help new players with the hardest mode of the game, which I can't remember how many times I tried with 999lvl players?
This will only help some lucky new players get skins. You are forcing pro players to play on Extreme+ difficulty. New players should wait to get skins like me.

There's a trivial solution with the new players as level 30 dronemasters and experienced players as traditional ranged DPS classes comfortable running the map on vanilla extreme. None of this is that outlandish, we do it all the time in #🎮group-search

If 10x higher at level ~300 is still considered sufficiently new, that leaves plenty of flexibility.

Yeah the timer in the game is different lmao so Saber will js have to base it on the actual timer and not the YT vid duration. And that was made by my teammate who isnt an expert with video editing. We tried 😄

I'm bringing this up not to discredit other teams' efforts but for clarity whether my team still needs to do this week's extinction maps or can we chill and not worry about it anymore since we alrdy got Jerusalem (and incoming Moscow submission).

Initially, it was meant to be like that, but taking into account that this event has been a bit quiet, I think it would make more sense to adjust rule#2 to be 1 Extinction episode completed and 1 new Extinction gained, as this would also help fill in the 12 winners for the role and make this Community Activity still open for more teams to participate.

This way, you can rest assured that your 1st submission is already enough, and I hope you can recover fast from the sickness! 🙏
