#Using NPC animations for PC

Pretty new to ds modding, figured out yesterday how to do some basic edits using smithbox and animstudio but I can't seem to figure out how to use NPC animations for the player. I followed Syyyke's tutorial when I was setting up my first moveset and I tried to apply the same steps for copying Radagons anims, but the new tae file I created doesn't appear in DSAS.

I figure I'm going about this the wrong way but I unpacked Radagon's anibnd (2190), copied and renamed the tae and hkx files a074, dropped them in the PC anibnd. Used clip generator to import behaviors, then edited EquipParamWeapon and changed special category to "74."

I also tried forcing the hkx to overwrite some animations, but I don't think I've imported them properly anyway. Could anyone help me see what I'm missing here?

Npc animations are not suitable for player use, you'll need a specific animation pack, where all of the animations are already retargeted for player use. #tools-and-resources message
