Hey guys, looking into Beast Clergyman's lua to see if there's a way to force his opening running stab. Attaching a pic of the code. (211000_battle.dec.lua)

To me it looks like pure RNG. If you're far away, it's just a flat 35% chance. He doesn't seem to read inputs if you heal or throw knives either. And that thing where he slow-walks then suddenly runs? It looks like his spell just times out after 2 seconds and he just re-rolls the 35% dice.

Is this actually just pure luck? Or is there some glitch, positioning, or something in another file I'm missing to get the run 100% of the time?

If you can't find the animation ID used for the running stab in either the battlescript or emevd that demonstrates a guarantee, then no. It's not going to happen 100% of the time. If you want to change that, you'd need to set it up. Easier to do with Lua than emevd for reliability.
