#How to open old project on smithbox 2.0.8
29 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
But wont creating a new one override the old one and delete the changes.
the changes are saved in the files themselves
the project itself doesn't hold any actual data, it just tells smithbox where the files are
Ok so i have done it.one small issue the names of the added rows are now set to blank.is there a way to get those naming back
there's an option to import legacy row names
they're stored somewhere in the .smithbox folder
if that doesn't work, the other option is to open the project in pre-2.0 smithbox, disable row name stripping in param editor settings, re-save the params, then load the project again in 2.0.8
this will save the row names to the regbin so you don't depend on external row name files
if you want to preserve modengine2 compatibility you'll need to re-save the params again in 2.0.8 with row name stripping enabled
me3 does not need it
Ok.and as of 2.0.8.is it possible to copy a param row from ncp attack param(the one which describes enemy attack damage) and paste it in pc attack param(player param)
Cause i really dont want to write everything from one to another.
Ok so i have been trying for abt 10 mins and i still can't make it work.here is what i tried.went to smithbox 1.2.8 turned off striping.saved params, came back to 2.0.8.Didnt work.Tried again, this time dissabling striping in 2.0.8 also did,t work.
in 2.0.8, also disable "restore stripped row names on load"
then try again
Finally it worked, what do i do now.
as I said, if you want to preserve me2 compatibility, enable both options again (strip row names and restore names on load)
and save params again
in 2.0.8
if you don't care and would rather avoid this whole nonsense, leave them disabled
Thanks.
