I just need a nudge in the right direction and can start from there - assuming this is at all possible. I would like to give enemies the ability to parry my sword swings.CatStareFrenzy

There are a few enemies you can check that can already do this like the sanguine noble and banished knight
To get the enemy to acctually parry you in ds animation studio you're going to need to setup two things 1. Jump table 18 2. an invokeattackbehavior that has the attack type set to parry
For the riposte part you're going to have to do a few different things which is go into the script and add an interrupt event for parry. For example:
local f30_local1 = 5 local f30_local2 = 180 local f30_local3 = 6.5 local f30_local4 = 180 if Parry_Act(actor, goals, f30_local1, f30_local2, f30_local3, f30_local4) then return true
To get the riposte animation working you're going to have to setup a throw param to set what animation the player and the enemy do at what positions, i'd reccomend looking into the banished knight (33301000) and sanguine noble (33355000) ones and copy some of what they have going on

yeah, for bosses i would suggest using the "getting parried" animations, not the staggered one, but like when you have to parry them multiple times.
And Maybe for the riposte, you can make them do one of their grabs just after they parry you
